Which has better hostel conditions, NIT Trichy, or NIT Warangal?
Both NIT Trichy and NIT Warangal have good hostel facilities. Let me point out the facilities that you will get at NIT Trichy hostel.
- The first thing that the students enjoy at NIT Trichy is the unlimited wifi during the 4 years of stay at the hostel.
- We also have a hospital from where you can get medical facilities free of cost.
- There are 22 boys hostels. On every floor, we have a TT room and an air-conditioned TV room.
- You can complain about any electrical equipment which has been damaged or out of order and it will be taken care of within 2-3 days.
- We also have Naturals Hair Salon and CCD. The canteen facilities are amazing and they are open till 2 AM.
- The hostel rooms are spacious and you will share the room with another roommate.
- You are allowed to buy your washing machine. However, there are laundry facilities as well.

NIT Warangal provides very good hostel facilities to first-year students among most of the Engineering students in India. The approximate cost for a hostel ranges from 1.8-2k.
Second-year students are required to stay in the Old Blocks which is not as good as the hostels of First-year students.
For Third Year students, an average hostel costing 1k is provided with pretty decent facilities.
At a glance, we can say that the hostel facilities of NIT Warangal are better than that of NIT Trichy.

NIT Warangal hostel accommodation is better. First-year students are allotted rooms in the Ultra Mega hostel. JOSAA students are given two sharing rooms and DASA students get single accommodation.
The hostel rooms have all basic amenities like a bed, desk, and chair. There is plenty of space in the rooms for storing luggage and other things. Each student is given a cupboard and a shelf. The internet facility is pretty good in the hostel. There are 2 LAN ports in each room.
The washrooms are in decent condition and are cleaned regularly. There are four restroom areas on each floor.

The hostels of the National Institute of Technology, Warangal are quite good in terms of facilities, comfort, and luxuries. My sister has studied there and she has often told me about the experiences there.
There are a few points listed below that states the experiences of my sister and her friends from their time in NIT Warangal.
- The hostel facilities provided in NIT Warangal are filled with luxuries and very comfortable too. There are separate hostels provided to students of different years and different courses.
- The students of the first year are provided with the Ultra Mega Hostel, which accommodates almost 1800 students. There is no single room provided in this hostel, and students need to share a room with other students. Almost 1500 rooms are there in this hostel. Along with first-year B.Tech students, M.Tech students are also accommodated in this hostel. It is considered to be the biggest hostel in India, comprising 9 floors.
- Now coming to the second years, you will be allotted the 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th blocks. The 4th block consists of double seater rooms and the 6th, 7th and 8th block consists of triple seater rooms. There are 16 rooms in each block, with 8 rooms on each side.
- There is a separate hostel from the second year for students outside India, who got selected from DASA scores.
- The girl’s hostels are comparatively new construction buildings and are quite good.
- The third and fourth-year students are given 1000 single accommodation rooms. These buildings have excellent architecture.
