DDU, the university is one of the best in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

  • The infrastructural facilities are peaceful and appropriate for education as the campus is not very crowded.
  • The university provides hostel accommodation facilities to both male and female candidates enrolled here. You need to fill a separate form to apply for the hostel.
  • The university has 6 faculties comprising 29 departments that have been playing a significant role in imparting holistic education.
  • For admission in UG courses at DDU Gorakhpur selects students on the basis of merit in qualifying exam and performance in the entrance exam conducted by the university.

The university has a total of 341 colleges affiliated with it. Their curriculum is really good, but they lack in providing students with good placement opportunities.

Overall, it is a good college for learning, but if placements are your major concern, you can also opt for other universities.

Yes, you can do BCA without Maths in class 12th as it is not a compulsory subject for BCA. If you look closely at the eligibility criteria of BCA, it is as follows

  • Candidates must have completed Class 12th in any stream from a recognized university with a minimum of 45-55% and also, with English as a subject (pass percentage varies from college to college).
  • Candidates can also get admission on a merit basis, a written exam, or a personal interview.
  • Colleges also conduct entrance exams such as CUET, SET, IPU CET, etc. for BCA in India.

All in all, it can be safely concluded that Maths is not a compulsion for admission to the BCA program in most colleges. The eligibility criteria vary from college to college and thus are not true for every college.
