Which is better for me as a resident of Chandigarh, Uiet Chandigarh or VIT Vellore?

Both the colleges are good at their place but it depends upon your perspective that what you expect from your college life. 

• If you live in Chandigarh and opt for UIET, you will remain in your comfort zone of your home city. 
• But instead of staying in your city and deciding to get admission to VIT, Vellore, you learn many things during your undergraduate life. 
• Eventually, when you stay in a hostel away from your parents you start taking complete responsibility for food, studies, laundry, etc. This will in your future make you independent. 
• In Chandigarh, you will get independence only when you get a job in some other state and have to move out of the city. It will be like a drastic change in your life.
• Meeting new people will always help you to make connections and you will receive enough exposure.

If you compare the quality of education that is provided in both UIET and VIT, you can determine this easily by talking to the students who are studying as they have real-life experience of the campus. But the fee structure of UIET is comparatively lower than that of VIT as the college comes under a center-funded state university.
