There is no difference in the hostel fees for 1st year or older students. All students are required to pay the fee according to the fee structure provided by the institute. Brahmaputra, Disang, Lohit and Umiam are the hostels that are generally provided to 1st year students at IIT Guwahati.

The hostel fee that students have to pay during the 1st year is mentioned in the table below.
