What does the logo of BITS Pilani mean?

BITS Pilani offers courses in multiple fields of engineering, technology, science, and humanities. The logo of BITS Pilani signifies the same variety of subjects offered by the institute.

• The molecule present on the central-left side of the logo signifies science and its applications.
• There is a lotus flower present at the center of the logo. It signifies Arts or Humanities and subjects belonging to the same.
• The rocket on the central-right side of the logo signifies technology.
• The motto of the institute is “Gyanam Paramam Balam”, which stands for the phrase “Knowledge is the supreme power”.

A few years back, a new logo was designed in addition to the main logo and is placed at the footer of the website. It has three colors- yellow, blue, and red consecutively, and a watermark gear from the main logo on it. It has three words written in those three colors- innovate, achieve, and lead.
