My brother completed his B.Tech Electrical Engineering from NIT Silchar. According to him-
EE at NIT Silchar is not a department where you can relax. It demands a lot of hard work from its students. But once you show dedication and commitment, this department will enhance your personality and knowledge.
NIT Rourkela's newly launched branch Food Processing has a wide scope for development and research and its worth cannot simply be judged through its placements. It caters to the ones interested in the production and processing of food and maintaining its quality.
The branch covers all arenas of food marketing from developing food and machines to keeping the food safe. It comprises concepts from various other branches too like mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and Food Science and Engineering.
As there is growth and development in India with respect to Food and Beverage Processing, there has opened up a gate for great research and job opportunities, as well, in the near future or I would say it has already started.
I asked a friend about the placement scenario of the branch and he told me that around 80-85% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 17 LPA. Most of the students receive internship opportunities while some prefer going to top foreign universities to pursue higher studies or research.
Some of the core companies visiting the campus for placement are Milk Mantra, IDMC, Tetra Pak, etc. Some of the non-core companies visiting the campus for placement are ZS Associates, TCS, EXL Services, Tredence, Affine Analytics, etc.
Other programs that students of this branch end up going to include Management programs in IIM-A, XIMB, NIBM, BITS Pilani, and direct Ph.D. in foreign universities. Some even go for M.Tech Program in NIFTEM.
So, the B.Tech program in Food Process Engineering is a great choice for interested students considering its increasing demand and scope.

IISc Bangalore is considered the best Engineering institute in India in terms of all; education, placements, and research. It was the first Indian institute to feature on Times Higher Education World University Rankings for engineering and technology in the year 2015-16 at 99th position. Also, consider the following international rankings conducted by highly reputed ranking bodies.

IISc has made huge contributions in the field of computing, space, and nuclear technologies. It has a track record of having the best directors, some of them including scholars like C. V. Raman, Satish Dhawan, and C. N. R. Rao
Overall, IISc is a great institute and is at the same level as IITs or even better both nationally and internationally.
BITS Pilani has an effective placement support system, especially in the CSE branch, but in the long run, Energy Engineering at IIT Bombay is the best option. CSE is becoming outdated, and you will end up jobless. So, it is better to go with Energy engineering, which may have a lot more opportunities in the future as it majorly focuses on renewable technologies, economics, and management.
The add-on advantage of IIT Bombay over BITS is the DS Centre, which is for students who want to pursue entrepreneurship and SINE, which helps to build up your own company
So, go with the option IIT Bombay in Energy Engineering
To secure admission to top MBA institutes in India, you should aim for CAT percentiles from 85 onwards. Here's the order of the institutes you should target in descending order - IIM K with 97+ percentile, MDI with 96+, IMT Ghaziabad with 90+, SPJain with 85+, and NITIE with as high as possible sectional-wise.
Even though SPJain is a premier institute, it gives a call from the 85 percentile onward, since they focus on overall values that an individual possesses and want students with more values in them. They have 2 group interviews, so they follow a rejection procedure.
NITIE has a sectional cutoff, so it's advisable to have as high as possible sectional-wise, as many people with an overall CAT percentile in the range of 97-98 were not selected in either of their 2 programs(PGDM and PGDIESM) in 2016.
IIM K also has a sectional cutoff of 90+, so it's important to score well in each section.
It's worth noting that these institutes do not have a sectional cutoff, but it's always advisable to have a 90+ sectional percentile to be on the safer side. Aim for high percentile and sectional scores to improve your chances of securing a seat in these prestigious institutes.
IMT Ghaziabad’s dual country program is one of the most coveted courses among its students. Like any other course, it has its own pros and cons. Let’s discuss them further to see the course's worth.

These are some things you should know before joining NIT Silchar-
NIT Silchar is an underrated college. However, these points were meant to inform you of the good and bad of this institution.
The question is too general. Yet I will share my own opinion.
Indeed, IIM Ranchi has the potential to help you clear the obstacles in your career and climb the success ladder. It’s the following aspects of IIM Ranchi that make it a good option to uplift your career
IIM Tag: In this era of tough competition, it’s the IIM tag that helps you avail the finest benefits after an MBA.
Growth: All the news IIMs focus on the general development of its students at large. Unlike older IIMs you can initiate committees and clubs that have never been established before. You can take the reins and enforce student culture at your college.
Long-term benefits: While joining a new institute one should definitely look at the bigger picture. After all, once even IIM Ahmedabad was a new IIM but today it has its own legacy. The same will happen with all the other new IIMs so you shouldn’t lose this opportunity just for short-term benefits.
Placements: We are quick to judge colleges based on its placement statistics. In reality, Management is a field in which lifetime value is considered not salary. Yet if you base your decision on placements this year's statistics are as follows

Some points that might be important to consider against your decision to join IIM Ranchi are
However, I don’t think these points can overshadow the plethora of opportunities IIM Ranchi offers.
Clearing USMLE requires going through 3 steps. While most students clear the first step only a few are able to clear the second. Eventually, only 5–6 people every year from KMC are able to clear the final step and pursue the course. Students are given clear instructions regarding the approach they should adopt while answering the questions. Video conferences are held by lecturers who specialize in USMLE to train the students. Moreover, KMC is giving coaching modules and some questions to help them prepare for the same.
You can also seek help from your alumni for 3 years of residency in America. Under this, you will look after your 1-year expenditure given that once you complete your study in America, you will also look after the 1-year expense of any KMC student.
So, approximately 5-6 students from KMC Manipal qualify for the USMLE every year.
