While many might have drawn several general comparisons between the institutes, my answer will target only one aspect which is your work experience.

Fresher

Freshers can refer to the following preference order.

MDI Gurgaon>Great Lakes (2-year course) >IIT Madras

Experienced

If you are someone with enough work experience,va I will suggest the following preference order

MDI Gurgaon>Great Lakes (1-year course) > IIT Madras

Studied at Great Lakes Institute of Management

You should prefer MDI Gurgaon (2-year PGDM). It is more reputed and offers better job profiles and recruitment opportunities. MDI Gurgaon placements 2022 reports shows the median CTC to be around INR 23.50 LPA. Companies such as Microsoft, HCL, Google, etc. took part in the placement drive.

The preference order for these B-Schools should be - MDI, Gurgaon>>IIT Madras>Grate Lakes Chennai.

MBA, Great Lakes Institute of Management (2019)

All the three business schools you mentioned above are in different leagues, each one has its own different brand value and quality of education and placement rate.

  • The average salary at MDI Gurgaon is more than 20 lakhs per year, whereas in IIT M and GLIM Chennai it is between 12 and 13 lakhs per year.

Institute

Average CTC

MDI Gurgaon

23.15 LPA

IIT M

14.38 LPA

GLIM Chennai

13.6 LPA

  • MDI Gurgaon has a large alumni network, as well as a better job profile and recruiters.
  • MDI Gurgaon is in the same league as XLRI, IIFT, IIM, KIL, SPJIMR, and GLIM come in the league TAPMI, FORE, GIM, and others.
  • If you don't want to spend a lot of money but still want a brand name on your resume, IIT Madras is the way to go. However, if money isn't an issue, then you should go for MDI.

Don't think about GL as the ROI isn't good in any case.
