There are many strong reasons why NIT Trichy has able to achieve 95% placements when even some IITs haven't. 

• Firstly, the age-old legacy of the institute and its high brand value attract the best peers as well as recruiters.
• Secondly, the alumni pool is huge and many of the alumni are working in top positions in foreign companies. So, during placements, these alumni give preference to students of their alma mater and thus the placements are better.
• NIT Trichy has well-equipped R & D labs with modern instruments raising the standard of education and research.
• NIT Trichy enjoys a better location as it is in close proximity to the IT hubs Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
• Lastly, the T & P cell of NIT Trichy works really hard to improve the placement scenario. 

However, I would like to negate your point that NIT Trichy has better placements than IIts. it does have better placements but only when compared to the new IITs. It's still behind the old IITs in terms of placements.

The package offered after completing MCA from NIT Trichy varies depending on several factors such as the skills and expertise of the candidate, their academic performance, the company they are joining, the job profile, and the demand for the skills in the market.

On average, the starting salary for MCA graduates from NIT Trichy is around 4-6 LPA. However, this can vary widely depending on the factors mentioned above. Some candidates may receive higher offers, especially those who have exceptional academic records, relevant certifications, and internships or work experience in their field.

Despite being a new IIT, IIT Mandi has managed to record an improved placement in the past five years. The institute's average salary for the Computer Science Engineering department has increased from 14.79 LPA in 2018 to 33.68 LPA in 2022.

In IIT Mandi CSE placements, the highest-recruited branch was CSE followed by EE. 

As a student of Hindustan University, I will be presenting the ground reality of placements at my institution.

For tech placements, mass recruiters like Infosys and Tech Mahindra visit the campus and recruit graduating students in large numbers. Other than them, BPO and KPO based companies present job offers. These job profiles aren’t at par with an engineering degree. For branches like mechanical, civil, automobile, aerospace, aeronautical, etc., no core companies visit the campus. 

Thus, the placement scenario isn’t good at Hindustan University. I would recommend you rather join CSE at K.C.G. college of engineering, which is a Hindustan Group college. It has the same placement scenario, but at least a more affordable fee structure.

There are many ECE branches that have great placements whereas some branches have below-average placements. So placements too depend on the nature of the branch rather than the department.

Communication

• Top Recruiters include Qualcomm, Intel, Cisco, and Cummins India Limited
• The average CTC ranges between 13-15 LPA 

VLSI

• The placements for this branch of ECE are the best
• Many reputed firms like Texas, Qualcomm, and Analog Devices visit the campus for placements 

RF and Microwave 

• The same companies that hire students from VLSI and Communications, hire a handful of students from this branch as well 

System and Control

• The placements are decent
• Some recruiters include Eaton, TATA, Intel

My sister is an ex-student of the institute, who has benefited a lot from the courses and was able to make a way into the Analytics domain career-wise. She gives the credit to the excellent placement opportunities provided by the institute.

IMI Kolkata students are placed in reputable firms in Kolkata, where the placement rate is high. The actual placement rate, however, may change from year to year and may also rely on elements like the general state of the economy and the industries in which the students are most interested. But for the year 2021-2022, it has offered 100 percent placements in its college.

Some of the prominent participating companies were JSW, Jaro, Nivea, RBI, Deloitte, ICICI, McVitie’s among many others. Top job profiles include Sales Manager, Senior Manager, Team Leader, Tax Consultant, and Business Analyst.
