Among the above B-schools, FMS will be easier to enter because other IIMs like IIM K, IIM L, and IIM I give more weightage to past academic performance. FMS selection will be based on Personal Interviews, Group Discussions, and CAT scores.
IIM K gives 40% weightage while the initial shortlisting of candidates for Personal Interviews is contrary to IIM L and IIM Indore which gives only 20% weightage. IIM Indore gives no weightage to work experience where IIM K gives only 5% and IIM L gives 10% weightage.
All in all, if you are a mediocre student then you have to outperform others in terms of CAT score and PI/GD performance. Indore is home for freshers and competing here will be difficult but you should focus more on FMS then IIM L and then IIM K for your shortlisting and put your best foot forward and convert your calls.
All the best and Best of luck for your D-day.
Let me tell you that there is no typical profile of students studying at ISB Hyderabad as it welcomes a rich blend of students from various walks of life. They come from different backgrounds, cultures, and academic backgrounds. ISB Hyderabad focuses a lot on diversity so as to give chances to everyone.
Your group can have anyone including IT grads, engineers, CAs, Doctors, lawyers, and many others. The only uniting force is their willingness to move out of their comfort zones and do something that demands more than their occupation and specialization.
As a student of the institution, it is important to recognize that comparing institutes can be problematic, as each institution has its own unique strengths and weaknesses. However, when considering institutes within the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) system, it is worth noting that the IIM in Visakhapatnam (IIM Vizag) has a reputation for offering strong academic programming and decent placement opportunities.
This is something that sets it apart from some of the other IIMs and is something that students may want to take into consideration when deciding which institution to attend.
The IPM program of IIM Rohtak is not at par with the PGP program and therefore I will suggest that you should go for it only if you have no better options. The reasons why I am against this program so much are
Considering all the above points, I will recommend you to take up an Undergraduate course from any college and then go for an MBA from a top B School. By doing IPM you merely will be wasting 5 years and over 30 Lakhs.

When the forms are out, all you have to do is fill it with as many preferred colleges in the M.P. Region as you want.
And if your name appears on the list alongside the college to which you have been assigned, LNCT, then you are selected. Go to the college and finish the rest of the paperwork and admissions process. And that's all there is to it.

The younger you are, the more opportunities you will receive. So don’t let the age factor discourage you. It’s highly possible that the old IIMs did not consider you. Think of the bright side. You are young and you have multiple CAT opportunities.
What you can do is work somewhere and gain experience. This might upgrade your profile. Inculcate extracurricular skills and prepare yourself well for the next batch of CAT aspirants. Keep trying till your dream comes true.
Honestly speaking, your chances of getting into IIM Lucknow Calcutta and Kozhikode are scarce unless you score 100 percentile considering your profile. IIM Ahmedabad, Indore and Shillong won’t give you a call even after 100 as their eligibility criteria focuses majorly on past academics which are below average in your case.
IIM Bangalore is unpredictable in its eligibility criteria. It might take students with poor academic backgrounds but good work experience. So if you have none you can forget this chance also.
FMS does not almost consider past academics at all but for that, you need a CAT percentile of more than 99.5. For the safer side a 99.75 might grant you a conversion.
Don’t get demotivated just because of your past academic performance and ruin your future. Rather make the most out of your present life and opportunities.

If you want to decide the toughness on the basis of the availability of seats then yes, it indeed is tough to get into IIM Indore. The seats available for the IPM program are 150. So the competition is pretty tough.
But in reality, the majority of the students just are writing the exam casually. Some students even give up after looking at the test structure, difficulty, and other confidence issues. So the ones who are serious about and have seriously prepared for the exam are competing with a much lesser number of students.
IIM Indore makes around 800–850 calls for an interview for IPM, which means one of every 6 good candidates gets a call for an interview. Around the top 180 students get a final offer (main list + waiting list).
So probability-wise you have a good chance of making it into IIM Indore provided that you are self-motivated and well-prepared.
