SOMS, NIT Calicut offers good opportunities to its MBA students. The curriculum is at par with other institutes offering this program and you will get a distinguished faculty. Many teachers from the NIT Calicut main campus visit SOMS to teach certain subjects, thus enhancing the value of this course.

The SOMS infrastructure is great and considered to be the best in the entire NIT Calicut. The students are placed with decent packages. To increase the placements, students have created committees and forums to look after placements, internships and public relations.

I would say that an MBA has to do more with you than the college. If you work hard and groom yourself according to industry standards, any college is good enough for you.

The placements are partially centralized at BIT Mesra for its extension campuses. Mass recruiters are open to the students of extension campuses as well. But for major firms, only the top 5 students of each branch from every extension campus are allowed to apply. If your resume and grades are good, you’ll get ample opportunities of getting placed from the main campus. 

Moreover, you’ll have a BIT Mesra degree, so you can also look for off campus offers. To sit for top firms during the main campus placements, you must score 9 CGPA and above, make good projects, and apply for good internships. By doing so, you’ll open up your chances of getting good job offers.

IIT Roorkee is well known for its excellent CS placements with many reputed companies offering high packages. Since the institute does not reveal official data on branch-wise placements, my friends who were students in the CS branch shared some updates regarding the same.

• The highest international salary package offered is 2.7 CPA
• The highest domestic salary package offered is 1.5 CPA
• The average salary package offered in the IT sector is 18.5 LPA
• The median salary stood at INR 16.7 LPA 
• Top recruiting companies are Adobe, Paypal, Google, Microsoft, etc.
• The top roles offered are SDE, data analyst, and product management.

Overall the placements of the CS branch at IIT Roorkee are superior to all the other branches making it one of the most coveted branches of the Institute.

Around 90% of students in this department get placed. However, the core job offers are very limited and most of them go for other options. Some are doing research in our department from foreign universities. Last year the median salary package offered was around 18 LPA and the highest salary package was 38 LPA.

Core and non-core recruiters are TCS and Wipro which select interns from the Geology branch. Most students get placed in December itself and have some or other kind of job offers by the time college ends.

A number of students were awarded research fellowships from prestigious institutions like the Indian Academy of Sciences, the Indian National Science Academy, the DST-INSPIRE, etc. 

The dual degree placements at BITS Hyderabad depend upon several factors. Some of them are-

1. The combination of dual degree, and if it complements your B.E. branch. Like Math+CS is a brilliant combination, and ECO will get you a decent core placement. Similarly, Physics+EEE/EnI/Mech/ECE will be much more beneficial than a simple B.E.

But everything depends on the company that you wish to apply for. Financial companies have a cutoff, but unless you have studied Economics, they won’t care about your B.E. and MSc. degrees.

       2. Certain old school companies do not even allow dual degree students to sit for their placements. Such companies are few in number. 

However, most companies won’t pay heed to your MSc. degree, simply because the concept of an MSc.+B.E. is unique to BITS. So at the end, your B.E. degree will most probably get you placed.

Thus, your dual degree at BITS Hyderabad won’t serve you much in terms of placements. Most companies will look at the B.E. part of it.

 IIIT Guwahati is one of the leading institutes of the country in the field of Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology.

• IIITs are renowned for their focus on research and innovation in the field of computer science and engineering.
• The placement scenario for CSE graduates from IIITs is generally quite good, with a high percentage of students getting placed in reputed companies.
• IIITs often have tie-ups with major companies, both domestic and international, for campus recruitment.
• The salary packages offered to students during campus recruitment at IIITs are often quite competitive, with many students receiving job offers with high salaries and additional perks and benefits.

However, the final placement scenario at any institute, including IIIT Guwahati, can vary depending on various factors such as the overall economic climate, the demand for specific skills and job roles, and the individual performance of the students.

IIIT Allahabad records nearly 100% placements every year. 

IT branch grabs the highest placements with the best packages.This year, B.Tech IT received 95.76% placements with the highest package of INR 82.50 LPA. The average and median packages were INR 34.66 LPA and INR 30 LPA respectively. Google, Code Nation, Samsung and Flipkart were among the top recruiters.
