Boys’ hostel:
The boys’ hostels include one hostel for diploma students which includes the Agnee Bhawan and the remaining are for MCA and for B.Tech. The condition of the hostels is often not up to the mark, unfortunately.
Life at BIET is pretty chilled out which is a completely memorable experience to cherish. It depends on what kind of fun you are looking forward to. If studies are your major concern BIET Jhansi is the right place for you. Jhansi being a very small town, does not have a very happening nightlife. If you love nature and cherish wide open places, BIET Jhansi will be the perfect place of recreation for you.
Here are a few points that highlights the best things in the college:
It would be advisable you to leave all your doubts and confusions behind when you enter BIET and live up to your full potential. This is a good with a very comfortable environment that nurtures developing skills.
IIT BHU, Varanasi has massive hostels with sprawling, lush-green lawns. There are 12 male hostels and one female hostel with two extensions. Students at IIT BHU are provided with double-seated accommodation beginning in their first year, thanks to the construction of four new hostels in a year and the renovation of others. Needless to say, all of the hostels have LAN access, and students are permitted to use the internet 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the semester. A few hostels have Wi-Fi, making it even easier for students to connect to the internet. First-year students are assigned to separate hostels, whereas second-year students are assigned to hostels at random, with students from all years living in the same hostel. This facilitates social interaction among students from all branches and batches.
Hostels have their own common room, as well as badminton and volleyball courts, and are always bustling with activity. Each hostel has its own hangout area, complete with chole-samose and chai. Many inter-hostel competitions are held throughout the year, ranging from matki-phod on Janamashtmi to the Inter Hostel Sports Tournament. Each hostel has its own mess service, which is supervised by student volunteers who work with the Mess Maharaj to decide on the menu.
To be very clear, you will not be given the option to choose your own hostel in the first year. The authority allots the hostels after entire admission process is completed. After the student reports at the respective hostel and registers his/her name, rooms are allotted.
In general, first-year boys are provided accommodation in Hostel 8, Hostel 9 and Hostel-10. On the other hand, first-year girls are given accommodation in Nivedita.
Some brief information regarding the allotment, change, and experiences in hostels are listed below:
Making friends out of an unknown crowd is needed in the first year of college. Staying with known people is not as interesting as making new friends out of roommates. Discussing different topics during a hangout, getting some private time because of different class timing, and enjoying life in the hostel rooms become a part of life in those glorious years.
Undoubtedly, this one of the most obvious questions that come to our mind when we are about to shift to a new place.
Bathrooms are extremely important for our day-to-day routine, so coming to your question the bathrooms in the boys’ hostels are quite good. My brother has spent one year as a hosteller in Hostel-9 named as B.Sen Hall and till now have no complaints regarding the bathrooms.
Also, you can check the hostel fee structure down below:

Yes, there are Indian-styled toilets. Some of my brother’s friends faced problems in the initial days as they were habituated to Western-styled but later on, they got adjusted to the situation and have no complaints.
Hostels in NIT C for the PG students are not good. Students are allotted to the Professor's Apartment in their first tear.
This was the scenario of the first year and for the second year students, the scenario is a bit different. The second-year students are mostly accommodated in the MBA hostels which have toilets attached with the rooms but are far from the previous apartments where you were living in the first year.
Wi-Fi is available on the campus and works well for the new buildings and hostels. At the time of joining they will tell you that the new hostels are under construction and will be ready to move soon.
Please take a note that if possible go for the kitchen as that will be the only single room accommodation available for you as a PG student in NIT Calicut.
Few of my friends attend NIT Calicut and they were able to give me some information regarding the hostel on campus.
NIT Calicut hostels are good in comparison to many engineering institutions in the country. You will enjoy your engineering life at the hostels there.
The Vishweshwaraiya Hostel at IIT BHU is considered to be one of the best. I would recommend you to stay there if you are looking for hostel accommodation.
There are 21 halls or residences (hostels) at IIT Kharagpur out of which 16 are for boys and 5 are allocated for girls. One can get a single room or shared room of 2, 3 or 4 students. The allocation is done on a random basis at the time of admission.
Here are a few pictures of IIT KGP Hostels-
Overall, IIT KGP offers decent hostel facilities, and you’ll have a good time at the campus.
