Is the IEP at Thapar University worth the money invested? Does Thapar University offer scholarships on the basis of needs or performance?
You must keep a few things in mind before applying for IEP at Thapar University. First of all, by applying for IEP the total cost for your UG degree will cross 40-50 Lakhs. Second, in order to study at TCD, you’ll have to maintain 8.5+ CGPA in all your semesters.

Is the Aditya Birla Group scholarship provided to FMS, Delhi students? What are the eligibility and shortlisting criteria?
Yes, FMS provides the most coveted Aditya Birla Group Scholarship to its students. It covers a huge part of Academic Fees and some part of the Tuition Fees for Management Students. The top 20 Students (In terms of their Entrance Exam Ranking at the Time of Admission) are Invited to Apply through the Dean of their Institute.
Aditya Birla Scholarship Selection Procedure
Students who are Eligible are Required to Fill out the Application Form appended alongside & Submit it to the Dean.
- Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of Information given in the Application Form.
- Candidates' Overall Achievements of Academic & Co-Curricular Excellence will be assessed to select him/her for the next round.
- Essays written by the Candidates will then be reviewed by a Panel to Shortlist Candidates for the Final round.
- Shortlisted Students will be invited for an Interview which will determine the Best 16 Students from Management who will be named Aditya Birla Scholars.
- Interviews will be conducted by an Eminent Panel of Luminaries & Academicians. Shortlisted students should carry all Supporting Documents such as copies of Certificates, Mark Sheets, etc.
The Interviews will be held in Mumbai for which the Shortlisted Candidates will be provided Accommodation, Travel Reimbursement, and a Token Allowance. Based on this interview ABG scholarship is awarded to selected students.
What is the approximate net expenses at ISB Hyderabad and in general how much of it is covered through scholarships?
The ISB MBA program has many expenses. The major cost components in descending order are
- Tuition and Housing fees: These fees are also stated at the beginning of the session. These expenses can be covered by the scholarships that are offered to merit students.
- Meal expenses: These expenses vary from person to person depending on their taste and preference. You can either opt for the meal options provided by the food or keep a cook that can make your everyday meals. Another way to survive is to eat outside and spend money.
- Personal expenses: Another cost head is your own expenses like eating or hanging out, phone bills, and transportation to and fro from your college.

As far as the scholarships are concerned, ISB Hyderabad offers no Institute-based scholarships. Only need or merit-based scholarships are offered to almost 1 out of 3 students. - IIMA Special Need Based Scholarship- This scholarship is open to students with an annual family income below 15,00,000. To avail this scholarship, one has to submit proofs of- one’s family income, amount of educational loan taken, one’s past earnings, etc.
- Class of PGP 2001, Peri Viswanath Scholarship- This scholarships offers financial support to one student from PGP/PGP-FABM. The amount is 2 lakh per year, which totals to 4 lakhs over 2 years. It is a merit cum means scholarship, which is awarded to students with a good performance in 1st year (and a good past academic record), and a family income below 15,00,000. But this scholarship requires the beneficiary to contribute an equal (or more) amount for another PGP/PGP-FABM student in future.
- Aditya Birla Group Scholarships- The group awards three meritorious PGP 1 and PGP 2 students with 1,75,000 per year (for each student).
- Dunia Scholarships for scholastic excellence- Dunia Finance LLC, Dubai, UAE offers this merit scholarship to two students from PGP-1 and PGP-2 each. The scholarship amount is 1,00,000.

What are the types of scholarships available for international students in Canada?
International students can avail a variety of scholarships in Canada for undergraduate and graduate degree/diploma/certificate courses. The types of scholarships available for students based on source are as follows:
- Institutional Scholarships: Offered by universities or colleges

Will I get any scholarship in BIET, Jhansi?
This actually depends on a number of factors. Normally, UP government colleges work on the principle of merit. So, if you have scored considerably high marks your chances of getting a scholarship invariably increases. Moreover, if you are from a financially weak family background, there are scholarships specially meant for candidates like you. Once you submit your family’s income certificates and other related documents, you are eligible for the scholarship. Before this, scholarships were often provided to students with names starting with the letter “A.”
The thing about getting a scholarship at BIET is that you are required to submit the fees at the starting of every year, which will later be refunded to your bank account by Samaj Kalyan Vibhag. Please note that all the scholarships being mentioned here, is only applicable to the tuition fees.
There is an option for candidates originating from UP, coming from poor family backgrounds that you can claim all your fees refunded by the end of the semester.

- You should not be having any scholarship under your name from any other institute

Is it true that Thapar University offers scholarship to the top 3 three students of each discipline from 2nd year onward?
One of my friends graduated from Thapar University, he was a scholarship holder, So I think I can give you some information about the same.
According to the new rules at Thapar University, you will be getting a scholarship equal to the tuition fee of the current semester at Thapar University as per the following.
- If you are in the first year and you are among the top 10% of the scorers concerning JEE Main of your branch.
- If you are in the second year and your CGPA score is among the top 10% scorers of your branch irrespective of your JEE MAINS score.
You also have another way of getting a scholarship that falls under the category of ‘Merit cum Means’. If your father or any family member’s collective income is less than 3 lakhs (not sure of the amount but it should be around 3) and you have a good CGPA.
There’s also another Scholarship for students who score more than 95% in 12th Standard Board Exams which is equal to the tuition fee of two semesters i.e. full year. This scholarship gets continued till the Final year but with a stipulation to score CGPA greater than 8.5 in each year.
Can I get a UP scholarship if I am through with AKTU counseling and my percentage is below 60?
Yes, you can avail scholarships offered by the UP government at AKTU Counseling. It does not matter how you got your admission (direct or through counseling). Your percentage does not affect your scholarship. But it depends on a few terms and conditions:

You won’t be able to avail scholarship if your father is a government employee.

You must have an income certificate from the concerned authority.

Yearly income should not exceed what is required to avail scholarship.
Getting a scholarship depends more on your luck than on your percentage.
Is there any 100% scholarship for 2 years available at IIM Ahmedabad?
IIM Ahmedabad students can benefit from various scholarships and financial aids for their PGP/PGP-FABM.
