IIT Bhubaneswar is popular among the newer established IITs. it is known for its core engineering departments. The Computer Science Engineering Department received salary packages ranging from 10-16 lakhs per annum. IIT Ropar has shifted to its permanent campus at Rupnagar and currently operates from it. IIT Ropar unlike IIT Bhubaneswar is located far from the main city which has lesser facilities. Among Government colleges, IIT Ropar is ranked 11 by India Today. It also featured in the QS world ranking in 2018. Whereas, IIT Kharagpur is more reputed and will be a better option if you want to study and further research on your subject abroad. The duration of the summer internship program at IIT Bhubaneswar is not below 3 weeks and not exceeding eight weeks during the summer vacation of IIT Bhubaneswar.
