What is the scope for Electrical Engineering (EE) students in DCE/DTU?

MG
Mayank Gupta Posted On : July 5th, 2023
studied at Delhi Technological University (2020)

The Electrical Engineering branch of DTU has a wide scope in terms of academics as well as placements. Students are exposed to a wide range of future prospects and the opportunities are plentiful.

You will be highly disappointed with the academic environment here. The curriculum is poorly structured, obsolete, and irrelevant to industrial needs. The faculty is not passionate about teaching and tends to deliver bookish concepts only. The classes conducted are boring, the students do last-minute mugging up for concepts and get low scores.

Placements-wide, DTU will not disappoint you much. Decent companies come and hire those with decent grades. Some core companies also make great offers. Then again, EE placements cannot be compared to CS or IT placements.

As far as internships are concerned, not even a single core company offers internships to EE students. Usually, coding companies like Amazon and Directl offer internships but EE students hardly are able to secure one.

Eventually, if you are an EE student, you will get placed in core/non-tech companies. Some even go for PSUs or pursue MBA or MS. Remember that the growth of students in EE is more than those in the IT sector. You will need patience and dedication to stay in this branch and reap the benefits in the long run.

What are the pros and cons of XLRI Jamshedpur vs IIM Ahmedabad?

HS
Hemant Sharma Posted On : November 24th, 2022
Studied at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (Graduated 2017)

We can compare IIM Ahmedabad to XLRI Jamshedpur on the basis of the following aspects:

  • Brand Value: Without any doubt the brand value of IIM Ahmedabad is much more than XLRI.

  • Placements: IIM Ahmedabad enjoys a slight improvement in placement opportunities than XLRI

  • Alumni: IIM Ahmedabad has amazing alumni like Raghuram Rajan, Chetan Bhagat, Harsha Bhogle, etc and has dominance over top positions in industry. XLRI on the other hand has its own alumni pool that’s known to back XLRI strongly.

  • Industry scope: Both the colleges enjoy an excellent industry reach. XLRI first BM batch (2020–22) of Delhi NCR campus completed its placements with an average of around 27 lakhs. This shows their vast industry reach.

  • Rankings: If you consider ranking then XLRI is far behind the top IIM Ahmedabad. But in reality it should have ranked 3rd (after IIM A B C).

  • Culture: The culture at IIM Ahmedabad is less vibrant than that of XLRI

So it can be said that both XLRI and IIM Ahmedabad offer if not equal but excellent career opportunities.

How good is CCS University?

RS
Radhika Sinha Posted On : October 3rd, 2022
MCA Computer Science, Chaudhary Charan Singh University (2017)

CCS University is better than other private colleges in the region. The free structure is affordable. The infrastructure of CCS University is not great. The facilities offered are similar to other government universities. If you are from the region, you can keep the university as an option.

But if you are getting admission at DU or other reputed universities, you should choose those options over CCS.

How is the WiFi in Ramanujam Hostel at IET Lucknow?

SS
Sakshi Singhal Posted On : August 20th, 2021
B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow (2020)

The Ramanujam hostel is completely equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi services. Every floor has 4 or more routers to ensure equal distribution of speed to every student.

A very close friend of mine states that you need to login to the Wi-Fi using specific login details and multiple devices can be connected at a time with no lag in the network or speed.

You can also access files up to some TB from the server. The internet service is available 24*7. You can easily surf web series, movies and etc without any buffer in high quality. Sometimes there is a bit of lag while watching any web series but then it rectifies automatically to ensure your carefree binging.

Do 1st year MBBS students of AIIMS Bhopal go for any trip?

AS
Anumita Singha Posted On : June 4th, 2023
MBBS Medicine and Healthcare & Music, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal (2021)

There are no college-sponsored trips in AIIMS Bhopal but the students plan a trip there to get a break from their studies and explore many places. AIIMS Bhopal has a beautiful location with a river, a hill station, and a waterfall in close proximity to the campus. My sister was a batch of 2019 and here are a few trips she made with her batchmates

  • Upper Lake: Bhopal is called the city of lakes and you can always sit by a lakeside and get a breath o fresh air and thought. Upper Lake is the latest lake and is definitely recommended.
  • Mahadev Paani: This is a beautiful waterpark just 30 km from AIIMS Bhopal. The slightly tough journey will be worth the beautiful site you get to witness.
  • Panchmarhi hill station: Usually boys plan a trip here as it is a 4 hrs ride and trains are also available.
  • Kerwa Dam: This beautiful dam is just 17km away from campus. The picturesque landscape is a great stress buster.
  • .Crescent water park and Kanha fun city: You can book an Uber/Ola to go to these waterparks.
  • Bhopal Mela: This is an annual mela with lots of amusement rides, street markets, and food stalls. You will have a great fun-filled experience here.

In addition to these trips, students of AIIMS Bhopal frequently visit Malls and nearby markets.

Do banks give loan to IPM students of IIM Indore?

AS
Aarzoo Shah Posted On : January 24th, 2023
Studied at Indian Institute of Management Indore.

Yes, banks like the State Bank of India and Canara Bank do offer loans. Due to the fact that these loans are primarily for education, you only have to pay interest at a floating rate for the duration of the course. Several other private banks also offer student loans.

After the course is over, you begin making principal payments. Also, there is a 6-month restriction on student loan payments. This means that until you complete the course plus six months after the course, neither you nor your parents or guardians are required to make payments on the loan. After the moratorium period, you must begin making monthly loan payments or risk losing your home.

How was your first day at Maharaja Surajmal Institute?

YT
Yashi Taneja Posted On : June 11th, 2021
BBA Management, Maharaja Surajmal Institute, New Delhi (2017),

Most of my friends have studied here at Maharaja Surajmal Institute and they were not very happy with the college. Following points are based on their experience:

  • The first day is usually very average and you might face difficulty in getting to the classrooms.
  • There will be an introduction session and usually most of the students are not very happy to get admission in that college.
  • A documentation process will also take place regarding the submission of fees which will take around 2-3 hours.
  • The crowd at the college is not good and you will find most of them involved in bad habits.
  • The faculties of this college are well experienced and qualified. They will help you in getting a lot of knowledge.
  • There is a compulsory rule of having 75% attendance in every semester and you may get failed if your attendance falls below 65%.

The students of this college and the seniors are quite helpful and friendly. You will not be getting any grooming sessions and personality development sessions in this college.

Overall the college is good and time will pass in this college very soon. You will have some beautiful memories of this college and you will enjoy it a lot along with your studies.
