What is better, placement-wise, IET Lucknow CS or JSS Noida CS with a fee waiver seat?

VS

JSS Noida will be a better option for you. The location factor is also very important. After completing course, you can easily get a job in any of the IT in Noida. The off-campus chances of getting placed are also high. You will also get good industrial exposure in the JSS Noida college. The college is very strict in attendance. The company has got a lot of placement opportunities. The labs and equipment of the college are also well equipped.

IET Lucknow being a government college is good for core branches only. The CS and IT branch of the college is not that good. If you are planning for GATE and other competitive exams. you might get ample time for that because there is no such attendance system.

Which one is better for architecture: mnit jaipur or nit trichy?

BM

The department of Architecture at NIT Trichy is top-notch. I know a few people from the NIT Trichy Architecture department, and I have heard good reviews about it. The department is ranked among the top 10 colleges for architecture and it lives up to the expectation.

In fact, the department of architecture is among the best in NIT Trichy in terms of faculty, facilities, and students. In the 2020 placement drive, the average CTC offered was 6 LPA.

If you are getting an opportunity to join the college, I will suggest you go for it.

Can I do a second MBA from ISB after around 2 years of work experience and my first MBA from a Tier II institute?

AJ

Ex-BCG/Dalberg | Ex-Government of India | Entrepreneur

There is literally nothing that is stopping you from doing a double MBA. Many students are not satisfied with the brand value or outcome of their first MBA degree and might opt for a double MBA from a better B School with clearer goals.

But if you are doing so, make sure you have a credible story up your sleeve to explain why you need a second MBA.

  • They might ask what you learned from your former MBA
  • Why you need a second MBA
  • Are you doing the second MBA merely for the ISB tag

Prepare such questions well and ponder on the real reason why you are found for another MBA. Rather than a hasty decision, you can also wait for a few years and see if a second MBA is really necessary.

I have converted calls from IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta this year. Which one should I opt for?

DJ

You should go to the campus where you know the most people from the senior class. Regardless of the field, you want to enter after graduation, an MBA is all about networking, knowing the right people, and making sure they know you.

At this point, your academic credentials will be on average the same as the rest of the batch, so you must distinguish yourself. Knowing people on campus before you arrive is important, as is understanding the nuances of academics, clubs, internships, placements, and so on.

What is the procedure for WH1 in Anna University results?

ST
Sai Trivendra Posted On : March 21st, 2023
Studied at Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India

WH1 is a code that appears on Anna University exam results and indicates that the results have been withheld due to a specific reason. In the case of WH1, the reason is that the college has failed to submit the internal marks of students. Internal marks are a crucial component of the evaluation process, and they play a significant role in determining the final grades of the students.

The college has a responsibility to submit the internal marks of the students to the university on time. If the college fails to do so, the university withholds the results until the internal marks are submitted. This process ensures that the evaluation of the students is accurate and fair and that the results reflect the true performance of the students.

Once the college takes the appropriate steps to submit the internal marks of the students, the university releases the results. It is important to note that the release of the results is entirely dependent on the college's action in submitting the internal marks. Therefore, it is crucial that the colleges submit the internal marks on time to avoid any delays in the release of the results.

In conclusion, WH1 is a code that appears on Anna University exam results when the college fails to submit the internal marks of students. The college must take the necessary steps to submit the internal marks, and once they do so, the university releases the results. It is essential for the colleges to submit the internal marks on time to avoid any delay in the release of the results.

Can I change a branch in NIT Warangal?

CR
Chitra Roy Posted On : August 19th, 2023
M.Tech from National Institute of Technology, Warangal

You can get a branch change after your first year at NIT Warangal. But for branch change your academic performance in year 1 is considered. Here are the rules for branch change at NIT Warangal-

  1. Only those students are eligible for a branch change who complete all the credits in semester 1 and 2, and obtain an 8.0 CGPA in a single attempt.
  2. Those who repeat year 1 are not eligible for a branch change.
  3. You can enlist up to seven branch choices in the order of your preference. It will be permissible to alter your choices after the application is submitted.
  4. Branch change is merit-based and your first-year CGPA will be considered for it. In case of a tie, the All India Rank (at the time of admission) of the applicants is considered.
  5. Branch change is effective from the third semester and there is no branch change after that.
  6. All branch changes are final and binding on the students. You will not be allowed to refuse the allotted branch under any circumstances.

These are the simple rules that are followed during a branch change at NIT Warangal. Since the competition will be high, I would suggest you work really hard and score a high CGPA during your first year to get your branch changed.

DD
Disha Dey, Posted On : November 10th, 2021
M.A. Economics, Delhi School of Economics (2016)

Preparing for MA Economics entrances for JNU and DSE will need immense concentration and dedication. You will need to prioritize to keep everything in balance. Here are some things you can go through:

  • The core subjects include Mathematics, Statistics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Econometrics. Select any 3 out of these 5 subjects which you feel are your strengths.
  • Revise the basics from your graduation notes and practice past year exam papers.
  • For the subjects you feel you are weaker in, revise the basics. Do not spend too much time on them.
  • Practice questions from past years.
  • Analyse the topics in which you are lagging behind and try to read those in detail. You can also skip some topics too.
  • For Statistics, focus more on Permutations and Combinations, Probability, Discrete and Continuous Random Variables.
  • DSE requires a mathematical approach and proper concentration. So practice past year papers and do not forget concepts.

The books you can refer to are: Dornbush and Blanchard for Macroeconomics. Hal Varian, Nicolson, and Pyndick for Microeconomics. Hammond and Chiang for Maths. SC Gupta and Miller for Statistics and finally Gujarati for Econometrics.

Do first year students get hostels at NIT Raipur?

RA
Ritesh Agarwal Posted On : March 22nd, 2021
B.Tech from National Institute of Technology, Raipur

The answer is yes, as there are separate hostels for the 1st year. If you have taken admission to NIT Raipur, you have to accept the seat. You will also have to fill up a form for hostel accommodations.

  • The seat numbers are limited in comparison to the student’s number. Due to this, the college administration provides seats and hostel allotments as per the students' rank. Seats are reserved for the students from state and reserve categories.
  • Hostels A, B, C, D, and F have a dining hall and recreation hall, that is equipped with Television, and some indoor games like carrom and table tennis.
  • Hostel H has a fully furnished dining and recreation hall with well-resourced indoor games and other facilities. However, all hostels are enough well-equipped with the necessities of the students.

Another important thing is that there are only 4 hostels with a maximum capacity of 100 students in NIT Raipur for the first-year students. Each of them includes two types of hostel with two bedding facilities or three bedding facilities in each room.

Hostel allotment is mainly done as per the student’s All India Rankings, and 25% is reserved for the state students and reserve categories. But, from the second year, based on the Cumulative Pinter Index, hostel allotment is done.
