What is the way to write in the AKTU semester exams to get the best marks?

AR
Aditi Roy Posted On : March 30th, 2023
lives in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India

My sister was a student at AKTU university and shared a few simple tips that will help you ace your exams.

  • Illustrate your answers well with the help of diagrams.
  • Don’t write your answers in paragraphs, rather use pointers while writing your answers.
  • The examiner will probably not read entire answers, hence it’s advisable to underline important points either with a different ink or underline.
  • If you do not know a particular answer, write whatever basic knowledge you have related to it.
  • Don’t leave any answer blank as this may leave a negative impression on the examiner.

These simple pointers will help you score above-average marks at AKTU university.

Which is better, Thiagarajar or Velammal, in Madurai?

DT
Dikshant Tyagi Posted On : June 8th, 2021
BE Mechanical Engineering, Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, Tamil Nadu (2017)

One of my friends at Thiagarajar College said that it is so much better than Velammal. He also mentioned that your branch will also play a big role while choosing a college.

The following perks of Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) will certainly pull you towards it.

  • It is ranked 29th, next to IITs and NITs, and has the best infrastructure and curriculum.
  • Research and Development facilities are good. The institute takes responsibility for the funding and execution of students' projects.
  • There are more than 200 faculties well experienced and supportive.
  • The alumni network of TCE is extremely strong. Every top university in the World like MIT, UBC has at least 1 TCE alumni there.
  • They have their own entrepreneurship development cell to bring out the true managerial strength within you.
  • College culture and ambiance are incomparable to any other colleges in Tamilnadu.

The placement is also good. Take a look at the following table to know the details:

Categories Thiagarajar College Velammal
Course Fee 2 lakhs 2 lakhs
Highest CTC 19.5 LPA 17 LPA
Average CTC 4.5 LPA 4 LPA
Recruiting Companies Dell, Delta Electronics, IBM, VMware, etc. Wipro, Zoho, Tata, Infosys, etc.

There are no dreams of you that Thiagarajar cannot support. The institute is not always focused on studies. If you get a seat at Thiagarajar College Of Engineering go for it without any second thought.

Which is better, VIT Chennai or IET Lucknow?

AB
Anushua Banerjee Posted On : August 18th, 2022
Studied at Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow

IET Lucknow is better. Being a Govt. institute it charges a lower course fee. If you are planning on preparing for competitive examinations like CAT, GATE, GRE, etc. IET will be the right choice. The college schedule is flexible and leaves a lot of room for exploring other interests. Lucknow has good coaching institutes for competitive examinations. At IET, you will meet seniors who have qualified GATE, CAT, GRE, etc. They will be able to guide you regarding preparations.

What is the scope after business economics honors BBE in DU?

PS
Priyanka Sharma Posted On : October 10th, 2022
Studied at University of Delhi

This course, like any other from DU, may disappoint you if you intend to get a job solely based on your graduation. Expect no placement offers based on the subjects or knowledge you gained in this course. Most companies will offer you generic intern-level work (mostly BPOs), which will not include any of the subjects you studied during your graduation.

Furthermore, for those pursuing higher education, BBE (Hons) offers no special advantages. You must pass entrance exams for MBAs and MAs in economics to compete with students from other programs. There is a widespread misconception that BBE candidates are given preference in the MBE{(now MBA(BE)} selection process. This is not the case.

However, here are a few advantages, as well that need to be looked at:

To begin, regardless of which college you attend for BBE, people from other courses treat you with implicit respect.

Second, passing the entrance exam helps you prepare for high-level exams like CAT, XAT, SNAP, CDSE, and others that are based on similar principles.

Third, unlike Eco Hons and B.com, the syllabus prescribes chapters from a variety of MBA books. You may find it difficult to study, but you will be more knowledgeable in the end.

Finally, you research SPSS and other business software that can help you stand out from the crowd.

Which one should I choose: 6IIMs (the so-called new IIMs, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Trichy, Kashipur and Rajasthan) or XIMB?

SM
Shivani Mishra Posted On : June 8th, 2021
PGPM in Marketing & Business Strategy, Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli (2019)

IIMs are any day better option for you when compared to XIMB or any other B-Schools in India. You will only spend two years of your studies there but if you focus on the long run, you are the alumni of the institute forever.

Many international guest faculties visit the campus to give you global business exposure. This doesn't mean that XIMB is a bad option, but it's just that any IIM is better among the two.

There are few points worth mentioning:

  • The brand name of IIM has a higher value.
  • You will definitely have better future prospects being a part of IIM alumni association.
  • The capacity of the institute to transform the human capital and social capital. This includes faculties, institute culture, pedagogy, events, and activities.
  • Placement opportunities are much better at IIM, due to its brand value.
  • You can easily secure a job offer, with an average package of 10-12 LPA.

At the end of the day, it's your decision to opt for the best for your future. Do consider this point of view and make a wise decision.

Which is better option in terms of placement and standard of life, civil branch of hbti or mech of IET lucknow, reply with factual data?

SN
Sakshi Nathu Posted On : August 5th, 2021
B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur (2021)

I have a friend studying at IET Lucknow from the Civil branch. I will not be able to tell you about HBTI but I can guide you in the case of IET.

  • The mechanical branch of IET is the best in the entire college in terms of studies.
  • The faculty of the mechanical department is the best and you would not regret pursuing B. Tech in mechanical engineering from IET Lucknow. The faculty teaches better than what the students are taught in coachings (as per mechanical students).
  • But as far as placement is considered, it is almost nil. The only companies that visit are from the IT sector. Even if a core company visits (rare chance), just a few students get placed. So, I would recommend you not to join IET if your parameters are good placements.
  • Considering the college tag, HBTI is a renowned college but IET is also not unfamiliar. IET is well known among IIT professors.

The following table shows the placement statistics of both institutions:

Particulars IET (Mechanical) HBTI (Civil)
Placement percent 30% 45%
Highest salary INR 11 LPA INR 9 LPA
Average salary INR 7 LPA INR 7 LPA
Top recruiters Tata, Hero, Naini Papers Hindalco cement, Ambuja cement, LnT

Being from IET is also not bad, though not comparable to being from Harcourt.

How should a dropper prepare to crack the AIIMS and get into AIIMS Delhi?

PA
Puneet Aarya Posted On : June 3rd, 2023
MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences

Irrespective of the fact if you are a dropper or not, admission to AIIMS requires excellent time management skills and mastering the 4 Ds; Determination, Dedication, Discipline, and Desire. Your quality of study matters more than your quantity. Here are a few tips that will help you crack AIIMS Delhi.

  • Mastering the NCERTs is going halfway through the AIIMS entrance exam preparations. Almost 90% of the exam is from NCERT, even the diagrams and reasoning.
  • Focus on quality rather than quantity. Stick to one book but revise it thoroughly.
  • Practice OMR and improve your time management skills.
  • Enroll in some coaching institutes and sit for their online exams.
  • Give equal attention to every subject. Don't do selective study.
  • For the GO pet, the best way is to read 30 minutes of newspaper and note down anything you deem important.
  • For the aptitude part enroll in Allen AIIMS as their question papers provide good G.K and aptitude.
  • H.C Verma is the best choice for Physics combined with MCQs from D.C PANDEY.
  • For organic chemistry, go through GOC and named reactions. NCERT is enough for inorganic and Narendra Avasthi for physical chemistry.
  • For biology, NCERT is more than enough.

Lastly, stay positive and motivated throughout!

How is life at VMMC for a med student?

TD
Tezal Dahiya Posted On : September 25th, 2023

The life of a medical student at VMMC is very hectic and full of chaos.

  • It's one of the largest and oldest hospitals in India with Asia's largest OPD so you cannot ignore the heavy crowd during the day. However, after 4, the crowd subsides and you will see the campus is actually beautiful.
  • Its central location has its pros and cons. You have many places to shop around and hang out with friends. But the flip side is it has less area for sports facilities although there are badminton and volleyball courts.
  • There aren’t any strict attendance policies and the academic workload depends on you alone. Some prefer studying right before exams while some can be seen always engrossed in studies.
  • The college has very approachable and helpful professors.
  • The Colleen promotes extracurriculars through cultural societies like Dance, Street play, Music, Fashion, etc.
  • The mess operates 24/7 and serves fresh and hygienic food. Girls’ mess is much better than boys.
  • The seniors are very friendly and guide you throughout your first year. They give you books, and previous year's papers and also help you with every trivial matter.
  • The college is ragging free.

Overall, the college environment is peaceful with occasional fun activities.
