What are the differences between IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta and IIM Bangalore?
Among IIM ABC, IIM Ahmedabad is most preferred by MBA aspirants. The long-standing legacy is the reason why most people view IIM A as a superior option. However, all three of these IIMs are almost on the same level in terms of academics and placements. IIM Ahmedabad is most preferred for Marketing. While IIM Bangalore is well-known for offering good Consulting job roles. For Finance specialization, IIM Calcutta is the first choice for students.
The faculties and infrastructure are great at all three of these institutes. People who have the choice between these three IIMs, usually choose based on the specialization they are interested in.
Should I choose XLRI or NITIE?
Both NITIE and XLRI are reputed and well-known institutes with exceptional opportunities due to which it is a tough decision to make. However, some points may be taken into account which would be helpful for you to make a decision for your future.
Ranking:
XLRI has reportedly ranked 1st among the top private management universities by Outlook India 2020’s evaluation reports. NITIE has ranked 12th for its MBA program by NIRF’s evaluation in 2020.

Both these institutes provide modern classrooms, advanced necessaries, libraries. Faculty members of both the institutes are helpful. Both boy’s and girl’s hostel accommodation is provided by both the institutes as well.
What would be better for me: NIT Trichy, DTU or NSIT CSE, if I am a north student?

Which is better, AIIMS Rishikesh or AIIMS Bhopal?
AIIMS Rishikesh is better than AIIMS Bhopal. The following points will brief you on the same:
- It offers good academics. From the first year, you will be learning most of the clinical variations. Faculties of different departments are invited for integrated lectures.
- AIIMS Rishikesh is great in terms of patient care. The hospital is fully functional. With 24*7 emergency, operation theaters, ICU, NICU, CCU, you will get a great deal of clinical exposure.
- The institute is fully funded and equipped with all sorts of recent technology.
- There are 32 AIIMS Rishikesh PG seats. AIIMS Bhopal has around 29 PG seats.
With Gangas just 100 metres away, AIIMS Rishikesh campus is a treat for sore eyes.
Is KGMU better or AIIMS Rishikesh?
Being a central institute is not important, it's about the scope of learning offered at a medical school.
AIIMS Rishikesh is a central institute, so it has a better administration. However, KGMU offers much more practical knowledge to its students. MBBS is all about gaining practical knowledge. The number and types of patients received by KGMU is very high. As you enter your clinical years, you’ll realize the importance of these things.
AIIMS Faculties are better administered than state faculties. However, MBBS is about your own efforts and approach towards studies. Teachers can only guide you, the hard work is your job entirely. So faculties aren’t much of a concern. Moreover, KGMU also has highly qualified faculties.
I would say KGMU is better than all the other AIIMS, except AIIMS Delhi.
Which is a better college for finance: NITIE or SJMSOM?
I think I can give you some insight regarding NITIE and SJMSOM since I have friends from both institutes. Both are nearly identical, however, SJMSOM may be a better choice because NITIE promotes itself as an Operations majors institution, whereas SJMSOM promises to cover all fields. As a result, you may have more prospects in the finance industry at SJMSOM than at NITIE.

How does the computer science branch of BITS, Goa compare to NIT Warangal?
If you are considering pursuing a computer science engineering program, it would be suggested that you consider both BITS Pilani Goa Campus and NIT Warangal. Both colleges offer excellent CSE departments and have a great coding culture at BPGC.
NIT Warangal would be the better choice for you. This is because BITS has only three campuses in India (four if you count Dubai), while there is an NIT in every state, and admission to these colleges is governed by state quotas. As a result, BPGC has the potential to overtake every NIT, except for the top 5-7 colleges. Nonetheless, both BITS Goa and NIT Warangal are currently excellent options for pursuing CSE.
If cost is an important factor for you, NIT Warangal might be the more suitable option, as it provides relatively low-cost education. However, the decision of which college to choose ultimately depends on you, and you should take all relevant factors into account before making a decision.
Are the new IITs better than NITs or other engineering colleges?
I am a B.Tech student at IIT Gandhinagar and I can assure you that you won’t regret your decision of joining a new IIT. By joining a new IIT, you will learn from some of the best professors in our country, study the best curriculum, get the best research opportunities, and live the best hostel life.
One of my friends joined the Civil Engineering branch at IIT Indore. The branch is quite new at this institution and its very first batch passed in 2020 with quite decent placements.
The campus life at IIT Gandhinagar is great. There are many students clubs over here and you can learn marketing, programming, and other skills. The exposure offered at new IITs is unmatched when compared to NITs or any other engineering college.
Thus, new IITs are a great choice and are much better than NITs or other engineering colleges in certain aspects.
Does anyone prefer BITS Goa over BITS Pilani? If yes, why?
As an aspirant, choosing the right branch is crucial and cannot be stressed enough. Here are some factors to consider when making this decision:
- If you score well but are unable to get a seat in CSE at BITS Pilani, you could consider Hyderabad. Alternatively, if you are offered EEE at Pilani, you might want to think about the potential "what ifs" such as missing out on your desired elective or the lucrative packages offered to CSE students.
- If the branch is the same, you could choose Goa over Pilani for its culture and campus life. However, Pilani has a legacy factor that cannot be ignored.
- Consider your personal circumstances and preferences when making your decision. For instance, if you're a dualite, you might want to choose a campus that offers the branch you want as well as the dual degree you desire. Goa campus might be a safer bet for circuit branches than Pilani, where the competition and cutoffs are higher.
- Apart from these factors, here are some other reasons you might choose Goa campus over Pilani:
- Weather: Goa has pleasant and beautiful weather throughout the year, although it can be humid at times due to excessive rain. This is better than Pilani's climate.
- Extravagant life: While Goa offers access to booze and rave parties, not everyone is into it. You'll find people staying in Goa and enjoying its beauty without necessarily going to the beach all the time. It depends on the individual's preferences and priorities.
- Fun and vacation: You can always spend your vacation time in Goa and have loads of fun, even more than most campus people themselves.
Is VIT Vellore better or BIT Mesra in terms of all aspects?
To be honest, BIT Mesra is the dream college of many while VIT Vellore is only considered a backup in case they don’t make it to the top colleges. BIT Mesra is the best private engineering college in India second only to BITS Pilani. Here are a few points that support my stance
- A high number of students were selected for JEE Advanced.
- Excellent infrastructure and campus facilities make the ambiance vibrant and comfortable.
- The institute enjoys an excellent placement scenario. BIT Mesra's average package 2022 stood at INR 13.01 LPA while that at VIT Vellore stood at INR 8.19 LPA.
- The admission to BIT Mesra is based on the merit of JEE Mains through JOSAA's counseling.
- The institute has a record of having some of the best and most highly experienced faculty.
One of my friends had to choose between these two institutes and eventually went for BIT Mesra. He claimed that it had a better alum network, better placement records, better global recognition, and a coding culture. Now it’s up to you to make an informed decision!
