How does the computer science branch of BITS, Goa compare to NIT Warangal?

If you are considering pursuing a computer science engineering program, it would be suggested that you consider both BITS Pilani Goa Campus and NIT Warangal. Both colleges offer excellent CSE departments and have a great coding culture at BPGC.

NIT Warangal would be the better choice for you. This is because BITS has only three campuses in India (four if you count Dubai), while there is an NIT in every state, and admission to these colleges is governed by state quotas. As a result, BPGC has the potential to overtake every NIT, except for the top 5-7 colleges. Nonetheless, both BITS Goa and NIT Warangal are currently excellent options for pursuing CSE.

If cost is an important factor for you, NIT Warangal might be the more suitable option, as it provides relatively low-cost education. However, the decision of which college to choose ultimately depends on you, and you should take all relevant factors into account before making a decision.

It is not easy to choose between BITS Goa and NIT Warangal as both the colleges are equally good. However, as far as I know, the professors at BITS Goa are strict regarding grades, so it is quite tough to maintain a CGPA of 8 and above.

BITS Goa

There is no reservation policy at BITS Goa.
You will have great peer groups.
The college does not require you to have a minimum of 75% attendance and hence, you can devote your time to improving your coding skills, on extracurricular activities, etc.
The infrastructure is probably better than NIT Warangal.
The FOSS culture is awesome. Around 30 students get selected every year.
The curriculum is flexible at BITS Goa. You will hardly get such flexibility in any other college.

NIT Warangal

Excellent placement records. According to their official website, they have been able to achieve 100% placements for two consecutive years.
The faculties are good and well-experienced.

Big companies like Facebook participate in the placement drive at NIT Warangal. I am not aware of the placements at BITS Goa. Personally, I feel that NIT Warangal would be a safer bet.
