Which is best, Lovely Professional University or Kurukshetra University?

A
Admin Posted On : May 28th, 2024

In my opinion, Lovely Professional University is better than Kurukshetra University. LPU stands out among private institutions in Punjab, as well as India. It is well-known for its innovative approach to teaching, excellent infrastructure, and exceptional placements.

Here is a list of the best features of LPU-

  • Facilities: LPU offers unique opportunities like incubation centres, career enhancement programs, skill development, etc.
  • Courses: Along with regular courses, LPU offers specialised programs with industry collaborations, and international credit transfer options, across all disciplines.
  • Faculty: The faculty at LPU is highly qualified and holds PhDs from reputed institutes in India and abroad.
  • Campus Life: The LPU campus is very welcoming and prioritises diversity and inclusiveness.
  • Placements: LPU has one of the highest placement records with the latest international package being INR 3 Crore LPA.

Due to these reasons, I preferred LPU over Kurukshetra University for my higher studies.

Should I take Chemical Engineering at IIT Roorkee, ECE at IIT Bhubaneswar or EEE at IIT Mandi ?

KB
Keshav Behera Posted On : August 14th, 2020
B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee

The major factor that drives the decision of which course to pursue is the placements.

Chemical Engineering- IIT Roorkee

As per the 2018-19 placements record, more than 250 companies participated in campus placements, some of them were ITC, Reliance, Jindal Steel, TATA, and many more. Chemical Engineering Students at IIT Roorkee recorded an average placement of INR 13.05 lakhs per annum. A total of 8 PPOs were offered to Chemical Engineering students. Roles were offered for Technologist, Researcher, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Consultant, etc. The placement rate for Chemical Engineering was around 80%.

ECE at IIT Bhubaneswar

ECE is one of the new branches of IIT Bhubaneswar and was introduced in 2016. Due to this, the first batch to pass out would be the batch of 2020. So there are no past records for this course. However, seeing the trend of placements for electrical engineering, the same can be assumed for ECE as well. In the year 2018-2019, 86% of the Electrical Engineering Department was placed. Companies like Amazon, INTEL Technology, ISRO, DELL, Thermax, Tata Steel, and many more visited to recruit students during campus placements. The average placement was recorded at INR Rs. 11.44 lakhs per annum.

EEE at IIT Mandi

As per 2019-20 placements, 62.5% of EEE were placed during phase-1 of campus placements. A total of 75 companies visited the campus and some of the top recruiters were Accenture, Wipro, CISCO, ISRO, CSC India, Siemens to name a few. The average package offered was 13.5 lakhs per annum. Several PPOs were also offered.

Considering the placements data, you should choose Chemical Engineering at IIT Roorkee. However, the final decision of which course and college to select rests up to you.

B.Tech Mining Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad

For Mining, you should choose ISM. It is the best campus for the branch. The syllabus followed at the institute is rigorous. The research culture is better too. It has the best alumni base in the Mining industry. You will be able to make excellent contacts.

There are many Mining industry headquarters located in Dhanbad. So, it’s easy to get hands-on experience.

A
Admin Posted On : June 12th, 2024

Both IIT BHU and IIT Kanpur are one of the best and oldest institutes in India. But according to me IIT Kanpur is better than IIT BHU here are some reasons:

  • IIT Kanpur generally ranks higher than IIT BHU in the NIRF rankings. As of the most recent rankings IIT Kanpur is usually within the top 5 engineering institutes in India and IIT BHU typically ranks between 10 to 15.
  • Both IIT Kanpur and IIT BHU have excellent placement records. But as one of my friends is studying at IIT BHU information provided by him Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIT BHU has strong placement records with average CTCs typically ranging from 12 to 14 LPA whereas Chemical Engineering at IIT Kanpur also strong placement statistics with average CTCs typically ranging from 12 to 15 LPA.
  • The faculties of IIT BHU are dedicated and the research institutes are also good making it a conducive place for study, contrary to this, IIT Kanpur is known for its education, best curriculum, excellent faculties, and research facilities.

Based on the above information, IIT Kanpur is a better choice than IIT BHU.

Is there any dress-code for girls in IIT Bhubaneswar?

RT
Ravi Teja Posted On : August 14th, 2020

No, there is no such dress-code in IIT Bhubaneswar. But there are few basic rules regarding dress code like other colleges IIT Bhubaneswar expects the girls to follow. You should not attend the classes wearing something which may be perceived as inappropriate for the classroom environment. Other than that girls are free to wear what they want in the hostels.

But, there is a certain dress code for certain events in the college. In convocation, IIT Bhubaneswar asks its degree recipient to maintain a proper dress code. The dress code for girls is Saree with Golden Border/Churidar of Offwhite or White or Cream Color. For placements, the girls are always asked to be in their formals. The formals can be in the form of Churidar / Saree / Blazer with shirts tucked in, etc. Since jeans are not a part of formals therefore the girls are not allowed to wear such during such events.
