Which is better for electrical engineering: MNIT Jaipur or MNNIT Allahabad?

Sabeer Chalana Posted On : October 19th, 2023

I researched on both the colleges, and here is my answer to your query-

MNNIT Allahabad is far better then MNIT Jaipur for Electrical Engineering. MNNIT has better placements and academics for Electrical branch.

MNIT is situated in the middle of the city, so you can easily join coaching classes for GATE, ESE, and other competitive exams. But then, many students from MNNIT clear GATE, IES, Civil Services, etc. because of its academic friendly environment.

Both the colleges perform equally well in rankings.

I would recommend you join MNNIT Allahabad for your Electrical degree.

Which has better placements JBIMS or NMIMS?

AG
Akriti Gupta Posted On : May 2nd, 2023
lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

Both Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) and NMIMS School of Business Management (SBM) are well-known and reputable business schools in India.

JBIMS is located in Mumbai and is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. It has a strong alumni network and is well-known for its finance and marketing programs. NMIMS, on the other hand, is a private university located in Mumbai and has campuses in other cities as well. It is known for its management programs and has been consistently ranked among the top B-schools in India.

When it comes to placements, both JBIMS and NMIMS have a good track record. However, the choice of which institute has better placements depends on several factors such as the program you are interested in, your career aspirations, and the companies that recruit from the respective institutes.

How good is the International School of Management Excellence (ISME) in Bangalore for an MBA? What is their fee structure for courses, and what placements are available afterward?

AT
Anuj Trivedi Posted On : May 26th, 2021
MBA from ISME - International School of Management Excellence (2018)

I know a few people from ISME, so I think I can give you some ideas about the institute. The total fees for MBA at ISME, Bangalore is 8.25 to 8.50 lakhs.

ISME - Highlights:

  • Professors are approachable and friendly. The faculty prepares you with in-depth knowledge of the subject with corporate examples and case studies.
  • Projects and assignments are well designed that push you towards handling pressure well.
  • There will be Guest lectures too, taken by industry professionals.
  • College management provides a healthy competitive environment. Club activities, professional skill-building, entertaining fests, etc., are parts of ISME.
  • Hostel facilities and food quality are good.
  • The average CTC offered here is 7 LPA.
  • Some of the top recruiters are Capgemini, E&Y, TCS, KPMG, Wells Fargo, etc

As far as placements are concerned, be on your toes and grab the opportunity as it comes. Have a clear idea of which type of profile or company you want to be engaged with. Also, stay in touch with your seniors to get notifications about job openings.

Can I get into FMS/XLRI/SP Jain without work experience?

AV
Ankita Verma Posted On : May 19th, 2021
Studied M.B.A Marketing, S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (2017)

Yes, you can get into the mentioned institutes without work experience. But this would not suffice what all you have to keep in mind before applying. Your academics and extracurricular activities will also be evaluated before selection.

I have friends who have applied/studied here, thus the following points are based on their experience:

  • FMS: It depends on a good CAT score. To give an estimate, 99+ would be fine. There would be rounds after that in which you have to do well too. Nothing would be affected even if you don't have work experience.
  • SPJIMR: The interview calls are carried out in two different stages- profile-based and score plus profile-based. They will check your performance in extra-curricular, work experience, and academic excellence. 85 percentile is a must in CAT/XAT and a score of 650 in GMAT should suffice.
  • XLRI: You can expect a call from XLRI if you have overall performed well by clearing all your cutoffs. Be it sectional or overall.

You must try and do some online courses or internships as per your interest. Any experience with a startup or NGO can also be considered.

Which is harder JIPMER or AIIMS entrance?

SG
Sharayashi Ghose Posted On : April 13th, 2023
MBBS from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry (2016)

AIIMS and JIPMER are two of the most prestigious institutions in India that conduct independent medical entrance exams.

The difficulty level of the exams depends on the level of questions and the availability of seats.

  • For those who can work effectively in a short period of time, JIPMER may be the easier option, while AIIMS demands longer periods of concentration.
  • Calculations will not be lengthy in JIPMER, but there will be lengthy calculations in AIIMS.
  • Luck is a factor in both exams, but blind guessing is not advisable in AIIMS due to its higher negative marking. JIPMER has lower negative markings and maybe a better option for those who can hold back from guessing.
  • AIIMS Delhi has fewer seats than JIPMER, but considering all AIIMSs increases the chances of admission.
  • The question pattern in AIIMS is similar to a less difficult model of JEE Advanced, with paragraph-like questions that require patience. JIPMER has simple questions that require speed and accuracy.
  • Biology questions in JIPMER may be more random, while analytical thinking of NCERT is required in AIIMS.
  • An upper hand in genetics may be advantageous for AIIMS, but it does not count as much in JIPMER.

Explain concepts to others to solidify understanding and improve chances of success. Keep working hard, and the best will happen.

Which is better for an Mtech, NITs or BITS Pilani?

TA
Tithi Aggrawal Posted On : July 3rd, 2023
Lives in New Delhi

Comparing institutes is rather subjective because everyone considers different parameters. When talking about NITs vs BITS, only the top NITs are a good option for MTech while BITS is definitely an equally good option.

Here are a few common aspects you would like to consider

  • Fees: BITS has very high fees in comparison to NITs but the high fees the overall experience and knowledge you gain.
  • Academics: BITS Pilani is known for its top-notch education quality and exposure. Moreover, there are no restrictions, and students are given a certain level of freedom.
  • Placements: BITS Pilani placements are at par with IITs and NITs so you can rest assured in that regard as well.

BITS Pilani will help you grow as a person and even foster your extracurricular development.

What is the dress code of girls in NIT Calicut?

RS
Riya Sharma Posted On : September 13th, 2021
Civil Engineering at NIT Calicut (2020)

There is no particular dress code for the classes. However, there are other necessities every student has to follow otherwise. The regulations include wearing shirts and denim for the labs of the electrical department.

Girls of the class are asked to go by the same rule, including rolling their hair up and wearing recommended shoes. While working in labs, lab coats are a must.

In any case whatsoever, since it is an educational premise, every student is generally asked not to wear dresses that can be deemed inappropriate.

How’s ECE at SVNIT Surat?

VT
Viraj Trivedi Posted On : May 26th, 2021
B.Tech Electronics, and Communication Engineering, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technolo

I have a close friend who studied from here, according to her experience, the preference order for branches at NIT Surathkal among students is as follows.

CS>Mech>Electrical~ECE

ECE - Highlights:

  • Faculty- The lecturers are helpful and knowledgeable. But the faculty for other branches is better than ECE. Students aiming for CGPA above 9 should work hard.
  • Subjects- The subjects covered in the course are quite interesting. You will have a chance to core electronics, communication, programming, and the electrical side.
  • Placements- There is no big core company for ECE grad. in Surat, still, the on-campus placements are fine. John Deere, Master Card, and Airtel, and some software companies like JPMC, Carwale, etc are some of the recruiters for this course.

The main reason for ECE being behind Mechanical is top-quality professors, core companies, being one of the oldest branches & huge class strength. ECE is not behind mechanical but mechanical is way ahead of ECE in SVNIT.

Statistics-

Particular

SVNIT Surat (for ECE)

Total fees

4.84 lakhs

Average salary

7 LPA

Highest salary

17.5 LPA

There are definitely a few shortcomings for the ECE branch, but it is still ECE from NIT Surat.

What are the placements after an MA in economics from JNU?

UG
Ujoini Ghose Posted On : November 22nd, 2021
M.A. Economics, Jawaharlal Nehru University (2018)

Economics offers many career options. Having a master’s degree in Economics from JNU will offer you many placement opportunities. Here are some of the career paths that you can choose after the completion of your degree.

  • Quite a few companies visit the JNU campus every year to recruit students in data analyst and research analyst profiles. The average package offered in the placement drive is 9 LPA. However, not all students get placement offers. So, you want to work in a data incentive profile, it’s better to go for institutes like DSE, ISI, IGIDR, etc.
  • Many students chose to pursue higher education. You can do M.Phil or integrated M.Phil-P.hD. JNU is a great option for pursuing higher studies in Economics. After completing your degree, you can teach and continue research.
  • You can appear for civil service examinations.
  • If you want to work in research domain but are not necessarily willing to pursue a P.hD, you can join think tanks. But you should keep in mind that getting into credible think tanks is not easy.
  • You also have the option to take examinations for RBI and EXIM Bank. A background in Economics is a must for these examinations.

No matter what you choose to do, the competition is quite hard. So, you will have to work accordingly.
