The hostel policy at NALSAR University is like other hostels of renowned universities. Students of the same gender are allowed in the hostel. The opposite genders are refrained from entering the other hostel’s premises unless they possess an endorsement or approval of the authorities.
Failure to maintain this important rule is punishable by the authorities and in some worst cases might even lead to the expulsion of that very student.
The disciplinary committee on campus is beyond one’s ability to convince in case of a mishap. It's better to be careful than taking a chance.
Except for mobile phones and laptops, nothing is allowed. The authority will just overlook certain gadgets like blow dryers, irons, hot plates, etc during the inspection which is not less than a raid. Gadgets like air coolers, air conditioners, refrigerators which consume a lot of electricity are not allowed.
However, to be frank you have nothing to fear. During any inspection, you will find the library crowded as all the students lock their rooms and sit there.

It also helps students to get accommodation in the campus hostels. University’s office also takes care of new student’s hostel admission.
These are a few of the hostels for both boys and girls at CUSAT:
There is also a KMSME Boys hostel for students who are pursuing Marine Engineering. The hostel comes under the Kunjali Marakkar School of Marine Engineering.

NIT Trichy hostels are decent. The institute has 22 boys’ and 6 girls’ hostels. There are single, double, and triple accommodations available. All basic amenities are available in the hostels. Students are provided with a bed, cupboard, desk, and chair. Water coolers are attached outside of the hostel wing. The hostels are wi-fi enabled. The wi-fi speed is good.
Like every other hostel, you need to bring all the necessities you need to the hostel of NITP. Some of the important basic things which you will need in NIT-P are the following.
These will be the basic items needed for when you join the hostel of NIT-P.
The rooms are very spacious, with enough room for 8-10 people to hang out comfortably. You will find everything in the room to be cool and comfortable. Moreover, the weather in Goa is quite pleasant, so you won't have any trouble staying indoors in your room all day. From 2018 onwards, most students are allotted double-sharing rooms for the first year of their stay.
The hostels are relatively new as they were completed only in 2018-2019, which means they are immaculate, tidy, and well-maintained. The bathrooms are of western style, with 10 toilets per floor, almost like the ones you would find in a decent mall. You will have access to hot water throughout the day, and even at night if you plan on playing football at 12:30 AM.
If you are staying in D-hostels 1-4, you will be allotted a double sharing room that comes equipped with a cot, a big almirah with a fitted mirror, table, chair (not wooden), whiteboard, and a few storage racks. The rooms are spacious enough for 10-12 people to hang out comfortably. The electricity and internet facilities are excellent, although there have been a few power cuts lately, which may be a legitimate problem or just cost-cutting measures.
The common room in the hostel is huge when compared to the older senior hostels. It comes with a table tennis table, carrom board, chess board, and of course, a TV with cable.
For first-year students, the room allocation takes place primarily during the time of registration. The process is random.
The number of students allocated per room in the first year hostel is about 3 to 4, depending upon the administration and various relevant aspects. However, if you want to share the room with a particular person on the grounds of your batch or something that creates relevancy, it is best to go together for the counseling session. If available, you can choose a room with 2 or vacant slots.
Pressing on, for students of the second year, they are allocated a new hostel with new rooms to share. It will be permanent until the completion of your course. The number of students allocated per room is two. The major upside is that you will have the freedom to choose your roommate.
You will always have the option to go from a double to single occupancy and vice versa. The hostels have a capacity that exceeds the annual intake. As a result, once you arrive, this should not be an issue.
But If you are concerned about expenses, then take a double occupancy room and then shift your room among your friends. Or you can book a single occupancy room, that way you will have your own personal space than without any disturbance.
