As some of my friends studied at NIT Goa, I learnt from them that, No preparation is required to take a hostel at NIT Goa.
These are the facilities provided by the hostel of NIT Goa. According to my friends, your hostel life here will be interesting.
A friend of mine used to stay at the Mandela Hostel. It had attached bathrooms and laundry service as well. The hostel is costly and the quality of food at the hostel is also good.
The features of Mandela Hostel and Vivekananda Hostel are:
The atmosphere of the Mandela Hostel is calm mainly because students of different states live and mingle among themselves. Vivekananda Hostel is for the freshers which give it a very warm and friendly atmosphere.
One of my friends once shared his experiences considering the Hostel of NIT Calicut, whether it is good or bad or anything, but the student must be prepared to incident all kind of things at the time of staying in the hostel.
You might be given a basic crash course regarding the student's body language. This will help you to understand the language spoken by hostel guards and managers as they were from Kerala and speak in Malayalam. Thus, the students from North India and Andhrapradesh (Telegu) must be ready to face this issue in the hostel.
There is always an electricity problem is a hostel, and a student has to use their own mobile data to perform their academics and assignment. Because no electricity means no internet, no fan, no light, and this is very common in the hostel of NIT Calicut. Students may face 2 nights without electricity.
Firstly, the hostel fees at BHU vary from course to course. So all I can do is give you a rough estimate through the information I got from my sister who pursued B.Sc from BHU.
Hostel Fees
Mess Charges:
Usually, there are 2 diets a day and on Sundays, there is only one diet. But the Sunday meal is special so it is counted as a double diet. So the approximate price stands at INR 80-100 per day.
If you skip the meal or go home then you can tell Mess Maharaj and you won’t be charged.
One of my seniors from school used to be a student of Sharda University and from what she has told me, the university has very good campus and the hostel facilities are some of the best he has come across. She spent a week thereafter graduation. Some of the features are:
Greater Noida is developed and if you are an outsider it would be a good idea if you take the hostel right after admission. The infrastructure of the university is amazing and there are AC/non AC rooms in the hostels as well. In addition to that, there are attached as well as common washrooms for the students. The hostels have laundries too where the first few washes are free for the students.
One of my cousins shared his experience about the hostels at BIMM, Pune. He said it is a constituent institute of Sri Balaji University, Pune (SBUP). Thus, BIMM is one out of the four institutions housed by SBUP.
Talking about the hostels, he explained that they are really good.
The only drawback is that there is a fewer number of rooms available and hence rooms are provided on the “first come-first serve” basis.
You should go for the B1 block and do not choose rooms that have a number of more than 377. Go for the first 76 rooms on any floor as the rest of the rooms are poorly constructed and do not have adequate facilities.
Make a choice between B1, B2, and B7 blocks. B1 and B2 are the oldest blocks and are vacated by the seniors before giving them to the freshers. B7 is the newest block for boys. This block is very good as it is newly constructed also it is much near to the mess, gyms and have got a lot of sports and recreational activities. If you want to be surrounded by seniors then you may choose B1 and B2 blocks. Each block has an individual caretaker and female hostel wardens. There are cameras and security guards in every corner of the campus.
You will be getting spacious rooms, centrally cooled AC attached washrooms as well. The wifi speed on the campus is not so good. There are dance clubs, green clubs, acting clubs and music clubs. The college conducts 3 fests in a year. Most of the students belong to the Delhi location.
If you're planning on staying in the TAPMI hostel, you're in for a treat. Here's what you can expect:
TAPMI campus is a great place for photography enthusiasts. While you'll have projects and assignments to complete, you'll have the luxury of doing them in a beautiful location that will steal your heart away.
One of my relatives has studied in IMT Ghaziabad, and he was in the batch of 2005 from this institute. He ever told me that there was no warden in their hostel at that time, in case of both the boy’s and girl’s hostel, although these two are in separate buildings. Only in the executive programs, there was an authority. The College administration always gave the deadlines for the project set-up and its completion by a team. It is somewhat essential for the student to be prepared for the corporate lifestyle, where they have to work hard with a team of both boys and girls.
In his time, two fests were conducted by the college authority. Among these Indian Ocean mostly came to perform; it was a famous brand of the college campus. The entire party was happening till the next day morning. It was complete fun for the students.
In the following, this institute's food has been listed that were mainly given to the students of this institute.

Besides, there was also a small canteen, in which students mostly visited for late-night hunger parties for Hot and Spicy Maggie and Parathas. There was also a bank inside the campus; as my relative said in his time ATM was not there.
IIT Madras has also been known for its good hostels. All the hostels of IIT Madras boast of a badminton court, volleyball court, football grounds, and also large sitting spaces. Below are the best hostels considered on the campus of IIT Madras
Hope this helps.
