For 1st year M.Tech students at NIT Warangal, classes are held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. There are no classes on Saturday. You will get a lunch break of two hours, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. The classes are of 1 hour each, so there are 7 slots- from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and then from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The morning slots are filled with theoretical classes. For any 3 days a week, you will have 2 labs and 1 seminar (one among them for a single day), for a 3-hour duration. These are scheduled in the afternoon slots. On the remaining 2 days when you have no labs or seminars, you will mostly have 1 or 2 theory classes in the afternoon slots. The chances are low, but you might also have no classes in these slots.
There are no classes during the 2nd year. So you have all the time to complete your M.Tech thesis. But you need to regularly update your guide on your progress. You may occasionally be asked to take the labs of your M.Tech juniors or the B.Tech students.
The most important thing is that you have to sign on the department register before a set time each day, during the weekdays. This is to give your attendance for the day. You will have to do this for both years in order to receive stipends.
This is the complete class schedule for an M.Tech at NIT Warangal.
IIT B is the best option among these for pursuing an MTech in Industrial Engineering. Your preference order should be IITB>IIT KGP>IIT K>NITIE. IIT B has an innovative course curriculum. You will learn optimizing techniques and algorithms. The course work and curriculum inspire research.
Companies such as Deloitte, Mahindra, Accenture, Sony, etc. visit the campus placements. The highest salary offered for MTech Industrial Engineering goes up to INR 19 LPA.
MTech in Clinical Engineering is a great program offered but lacks the necessary hype mainly because not many are aware of this discipline. It’s an excellent program at the Master's level for B.tech in Biomedical Engineering students.
Clinical Engineering is a 2.5 years M.tech program in which you have to be associated with 3 institutes
These are excellent in their respective fields and offer the best experience opponents could ask for. This program is for those who are interested in
innovating hospitals or creating Medical Devices that can bring massive changes in this field.
Under this course, you get hands-on experience by working with doctors.
Students have to complete several projects both in CMC and SCTIMST Trivandrum. These projects and experiences help you get a job related to Medical Devices while many even start their own. Once completed, you are required to do a project in any of the 3 locations of your choice after which you get a degree from IIT Madras. Hardly anyone remains without a job after this program. People usually opt for higher studies, and look for core jobs or jobs in MNCs.
Overall, the career opportunities for MTech in Clinical Engineering graduates are diverse, and the specific roles and responsibilities will depend on the organization you work for and the specific job you hold.
Yes, it is possible to prepare for IES (Indian Engineering Services) while pursuing your M.Tech from IIEST Shibpur. However, it will require careful planning, time management, and dedication to both your studies and exam preparation.
Here are some tips that can help you prepare for IES while doing your M.Tech:
Remember, balancing both your M.Tech studies and IES exam preparation can be challenging, but with proper planning and dedication, you can succeed in both.
The crowd for M.Tech ECE at IIIT Delhi usually comprises those students from tier 2 and 3 colleges who aren’t placed after their B.Tech. These students join the M.Tech program with the sole purpose of getting placed. They lack proper knowledge of the subjects for which they are chosen as TAs.
As TAs, they aren’t very helpful. Only some of them bother to solve students’ queries. The crowd lacks dedication and proper knowledge. The cooperation among themselves is weak too.
Basically, the course is decent. However, the peer group for M.Tech ECE isn’t up to the mark at IIIT Delhi.
IIT BHU has the best department in material science and technology. They have experienced scholars, and you will be given effective classes with proper study materials. This department was established at IIT BHU in 1978 and is located opposite the Central Instrument and Facility Center. They have an international center of research in material science and technology, and it will be a wise decision to opt for an MTech in material science and technology from this reputed institution. IIT BHU offers fantastic placement support for the students, and you can pass out with an IITian tag.
Most Government, as well as Private companies, prefer BTech graduates to MTech or MS graduates. One needs an MTech degree only if one wants to enter academia or research. The reason they prefer a fresher is that they consider them flexible and thus sponsor them for higher study in their field of requirement.
M.Tech degree is not required to secure a good job and I will recommend you start preparing for GATE instead and target a PSU job. The written tests and interviews during the process of GATE Preparation will increase your chances of selection in the future.
