What is the typical life of a student at TAPMI, Manipal?

It would be a lot busier if you were on a committee or if it was placement season.
The good news is that Manipal is a great place to live and that's where you spend your evenings (at least some of them). In the midst of rural Udupi, it is a metropolitan metropolis with everything from 5-star hotels and bars to beaches and shopping centers. People party hard because alcohol is inexpensive, and those who work the hardest are also the hardest party animals!
Motor vehicles are allowed for both juniors and seniors and you must be on campus by 11:30 p.m. If you work till two or three in the morning to finish any unfinished business, the Night Canteen will save the day. However, at the end of the day, you know that you are preparing yourself for the corporate world (the placements are excellent), and that motivates you.
How do I prepare for the IIT-JAM biotechnology?
Due to the increased competition and lesser number of seats, Biotechnology becomes one of the toughest courses in the IIT-JAM examination. To get admission in IITs and NITs in Biotechnology, you should prepare well and make a strategy to cope up with the high competition level.
Syllabus:
The syllabus of the Biotechnology course (IIT JAM) is mainly a combination of four major subjects like Biology, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. So to clear the question papers you need to prepare all these four subjects thoroughly.
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ): Each MCQ question will have 4 choices. Out of which only one choice is correct.- Multiple Select Questions (MSQ): MSQs are similar to MCQs. The only difference is that among the 4 choices given you will have another correct answer. You will get full marks if you guess all the correct answers and no wrong answers.
- Numerical Answer Type Questions (NAT): For each NAT type question, the correct answer is a real number that you need to enter using the virtual keyboard. You will not get any choices for such questions.
There are a total of 60 questions carrying 100 marks. The question paper has 3 sections, i.e. A, B, and C. All these sections are compulsory. The sectional division of the questions is as follows.
- Section A- Contains 30 MCQ with one or two marks each.
- Section B- contains 10 questions carrying two marks each.
- Section C- Contains 20 NAT questions carrying one or two marks each.
Only section A has negative marking.

How is KIIT BBSR?
I am a third year student at KIIT. Till now, my experience has been great. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time over here and made some great friends.
KIIT is a good institution with great facilities. It is, however, a little on the expensive side. The students are not pressurized unnecessarily in the name of studies, which is a good thing. The campus life is also great over here.
A lot of companies visit the campus. Some years ago, some big IT companies did not visit the campus for placements. The institution compensated by bringing in startups and even, surprisingly, some BPOs.
Apart from studies, the students of KIIT make use of opportunities to go for various extracurriculars and indulge in hobbies that they couldn’t practice before due to family pressure or other circumstances. Many students even decide to pursue their passion.
Alumni of KIIT like Amandeep Khayal (Amandeep Singh) and Kartik Bhagat decided to choose their passion over Engineering.
Bhubaneswar as a city does not offer much to the youth. However, KIIT is a good institution and you will spend some of the best years of your life over here.
Which is better the Shiv Nadar University or Manipal University?
Both Shiv Nadar University and Manipal University are one of the prestigious colleges in India for Engineering. Both of them provide a B.Tech. degree in most of the engineering branches. As the preferred branch and degree are not mentioned, general aspects of these colleges are discussed below.

Manipal University- It is one of the main constituents of the Manipal Education Group. Located on 122 acres of campus near Jaipur, the university boasts modern infrastructure including all audio-video aided classrooms, research facilities, and a modern, digital library. For onboard students, the university has a hostel facility for over 5900 with centralized WI-FI connectivity, gym, sports facility, CCTV surveillance, etc. Hostels for boys and girls are separate.
So, according to all the above-mentioned points, Shiv Nadar University and Manipal University share very equivalent academic quality. Now one can choose based on their own preferences.
Which one is better for an M.Tech in CSE, DIAT, Pune or newer NITs like NIT Durgapur, Goa, Puducherry, and Meghalaya?
I have a friend who recently graduated in CSE from DIAT. According to her, DIAT fails to offer good opportunities to the students. It’s better to choose newer NITS.
- Even though DIAT comes under the Ministry of Defense, the academics and facilities offered at the institute are not up to the mark.
- The teachings, non-teaching as well as administrative people are not cooperative with the students.
- Moreover, the placement cell doesn’t bring companies for placement as expected. They don’t even bring software companies like TCS or Infosys for placement.
So from this, you can draw an overview of how things are at DIAT. You can go for NIT Durgapur or NIT Goa. Even if you don’t get NITs, try for Government College of Engineering, Pune. It has better facilities and placements.
