BITS Goa is a highly prestigious engineering college in India with amazing infrastructure and campus. It's the place that has given a number of startups and other opportunities to its students. Here is a general comparison of BITS Goa with DTU, NSUT, and other top NITs based on common parameters

Which one is better, JSS Noida, Galgotia, Ajay Kumar Garg or Amity University Noida (for BTech-CS) ?
JSS Noida is the best option, among these. It offers excellent placement opportunities. According to the recent highlights of JSS placements, around 80% of students from the CS department get placed each year. The average CTC received by the student of the branch is around INR 10 LPA. While the highest CTC received by the students is around INR 40 LPA.
Since JSS Noida is located near the IT hub of Delhi NCR, it’s easier to placement and internship opportunities.
Is MRCET a better college than MREC?
One of my sisters studied in MRCET. According to her, MRCET is much better than MREC, which is the first campus belonging to the Malla Reddy group. Even though it was built first, MRCET still shines through because of its faculty, infrastructure, and curriculum. It is now an autonomous college as well.

Which medical college is better: UCMS or VMMC?
Here are a few parameters on which one can compare the two colleges-
- Academics- UCMS has a more rigorous testing schedule, which is why its academics is considered better. On the other hand, VMMC provides you with more freedom to study the topics of your choice. For example, if you wish to apply for USMLE, you will have ample time for standard books, and extracurriculars to boost your CV.
- Campus- The campus of UCMS is double in size. But VMMC has a safer campus where you can roam 24*7 without safety concerns. This is because of a good number of security guards dispatched throughout the college and hospital.
- Location- Unlike UCMS, VMMC is surrounded by multiple hangout places. You can visit Hauz Khas, South Ex, Lajpat Nagar, Sarojini Nagar, Green Park, and Saket from VMMC. CP is just 30 minutes away, even by metro.
- Hostels- UCMS offers single seater hostel rooms for all, and the rooms are more spacious as well. At VMMC, you can customize your room according to your will. I don’t know about UCMS, but VMMC hostels have no curfew timings. NBH (New Boys’ Hostel) has good rooms, surrounded by greenery.
- Hospital- Safdarjung Hospital is better than GTB. It has the largest OPD in Asia, so you’ll have ample cases to learn. There’s a large number of PG seats at Safdarjung.
- Societies- VMMC has a dance society (Neocracy), a music society (Kehrawa), a fashion society, a sports society and a dramatic society (Kaivalya). I am not aware of the societies at UCMS.
Based on these parameters, I would recommend you join VMMC for your MBBS. But even UCMS is a good college.
Which is better: Acharya Institute of Technology or Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology?
Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology is an autonomous college whereas Acharya Institute of Technology is VTU affiliated. Both of the colleges have excellent infrastructure, but NMIT is considerably far from the city centre as compared to Acharya.
Placement:
- Students of NMIT get placed into some good companies with some hefty packages.
- Average packages are around 6 to 10 lacs in NMIT which is good for a tier 2 college.
Faculty:
- The faculty for EC and CS is good in both the colleges.
- Most of them are PhD holders in their particular field and some are pursuing it.
Department:
- Life in the EC department of NMIT is not much happening.
- CS department in NMIT has the best scenario, a good package, and chilled out faculty.

NMIT is a good pick but placement wise AIT is better. Overall, the Acharya Institute of Technology is the potential choice.
Should I attend NIT, Durgapur; IIITM, Gwalior; IIIT, Amethi; or drop for IIT next year?
You can take a drop year if you are confident that you will get IIT. But if you want to have options, it will be better to join IIIT Gwalior and prepare for JEE Advanced. The curriculum isn’t too demanding, you will have ample time for preparation. Also, this way you will have a backup.
IIIT Gwalior has an excellent coding culture. If you are interested in coding and have skills, you can get good placement offers.
Is BITS Hyderabad better than VIT Vellore for CS?
BITS Hyderabad is definitely better than VIT Vellore for CS. Here are some reasons for the same-
- Coding Culture- Even VIT Vellore has a decent coding culture. But when it comes to any of the BITS campuses, the coding culture over there is far more superior. The environment at BITS is such that one feels extremely motivated to learn and build new stuff. The BITS faculties are highly qualified and supportive.
- Crowd- Getting into BITS is difficult, and there are no NRI or Management quota seats. Each one of the students gets in through pure merit. Because of these reasons the BITS Hyderabad crowd is overall better than the VIT Vellore crowd.
- Placements- The Computer Science department of BITS Hyderabad witnesses better placements than VIT Vellore. But even VIT Vellore is good for CS placements.
- Course Intake- VIT Vellore intakes a lot more students on a yearly basis. Though the competition is much higher at BITS Hyderabad, the end results are more fulfilling for each one of its students.
Thus, I would recommend you choose BITS Hyderabad for your B.E. in CS.
Are private colleges like VIT, MIT (MANIPAL), SRM, BITS Pilani better than IITs and NITs?
BITS Pilani cannot be compared to VIT, MIT or SRM given its superior quality peer groups, exposure, and academic environment. The campus life is very vibrant and fulfilling and these colleges won’t give you an experience even close to it.
As for NITs, only the top ones like Trichy, Suratkhal, Warangal, and MNNIT Allahabad can be considered.
VIT comes after NIT and is regarded highly because of its excellent research opportunities and facilities. The college is improving every year and if the resources are used appropriately, you can achieve big things here. Many top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Flipkart have started considering VIT students eligible for their placements.
MIT is known for attracting students from affluent families. Its huge campus with an upper-class student body gives an altogether different vibe which students from small towns may find difficult to adapt to.
Ultimately there aren’t any good or bad colleges specifically and it’s all about individuals' preferences and desires to grow. Colleges just are a stepping stone it’s you who has to pave the way to success.
Which college is better in Bhopal in terms of placements, LNCT or SIRT?
One of my friends has graduated from LNCT and got placed in a good company. According to him, LNCT is a private college and the best option to choose if you want to make a career in engineering after class 12.

- The college has a beautiful campus with the best infrastructure, well-maintained laboratories, hygienic hostels.
- The campus is student-friendly with world-class facilities.
