One of my friends told me that he faced this similar dilemma last year at the time of taking admission. He lived in the NCR regions, and for that, NIT KRK is quite closer to his place. However, my friend selected IT at MNNIT Allahabad. As per him, it was one of the best decisions that he ever took.

In the following some reasons are listed for this consideration:

IT equals CSE at MNNIT in all its aspects, considering the coding culture of the institute and the placement facts.
Thereby, if you choose IT in this institute, then there is a huge chance to get a high profile job at the end of the course, comparing the CSE at NIT KRK.

The following table gives an overview of placement facts of these two institutes:

So, the comprehensive environment of study is only available in MNNIT.
