Which AIIMS is better in India out of the 7 AIIMS, other than AIIMS Delhi?

AS
Arul Singh Posted On : May 31st, 2023
MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (2020)

All the AIIMS are almost on the same level with differences only in the quality of one or the other departments. As a whole, all AIIMS are in the same league. however, these minor differences have resulted in people preferring one over the other. The top preferences after AIIMS Delhi are Jodhpur, Bhubaneshwar, and Bhopal.

  • Students have misconceptions about AIIMS Patna and AIIMS Raipur in the quality of the crowd it welcomes. They also consider these cities as underdeveloped and very lacking.
  • AIIMS Rishikesh is infamous for having very strict rules and regulations. On the contrary, Rishikeshs surreal ambiance is one of the major reasons people prefer it over other AIIMS. But it's a fact that Rishikesh has the most rigid hostel rules in addition to the railways' connectivity problem.
  • The language and food problem in AIIMS Bhubaneshwar results in a major communication gap between students and patients speaking typical Odiya.
  • AIIMS Jodhpur has a less diverse peer group in comparison to other AIIMS as South Indians cannot adjust to its harsh weather conditions.
  • AIIMS Bhopal has a perfect blend of everything; no language barrier, diverse peer group, urban lifestyle, and great connectivity. All these make AIIMS Bhopal the first preference.

Ultimately, all AIIMS have equally good facilities and academic environments and the ultimate choice depends on what you are looking for in your dream college.

B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering & Product Design, Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IITG) (Graduated 2018)

The Mechanical Department is one of the departments at IIT Guwahati that is actively involved in research, competitions (robotics, automobile development, etc.), academics, and so on. It is also one of the largest departments in terms of faculty, Ph.D. scholarships, and available equipment. Almost all of the professors are friendly and eager to assist students.

Placements in IIT Guwahati's mechanical engineering department are very good for B.tech students, with 87% of students placed in PSUs and core companies this year. The rest went into software development, analytics, marketing, and research. As of now, this department has never looked more alive. The campus is an undeniable beauty that will provide an unforgettable experience. AG
Alka Gupta Posted On : September 9th, 2023
Studied at Manipal Institute Of Technology

Manipal Institute of Technology has one of the best hostel facilities in India. Depending on your budget you can either opt for a single occupancy room with an AC or a triple occupancy room with no AC and a common bathroom. But you don’t have to worry as the common baths are very well maintained and hygiene is taken care of.

  • There are washing machines and dryers on every floor. There are also facilities for Solar water heaters, so you can get hot water throughout the day.
  • The hostels are well-secured, especially for girls and the hostel wardens are very friendly too.
  • There is a night canteen that serves food till 1 am.

So, Manipal Institute Of Technology has one of the best hostel facilities in India so you can put your worries to rest!

Is it good to study M.Tech in data analytics from Bits, Pilani Wilp manner, as executive manner?

TA
Tithi Aggrawal Posted On : June 27th, 2023
Founder, NextBigWhat

Doing M.Tech in data analytics from BITS Pilani, WILP manner is not a good option.

Unless your M.Tech is full-time, the industry will not give it any importance. It wouldn’t matter even if you ace your degree.

If you can afford it, pursue a degree on-campus and full-time. Unless you have adequate experience to back it up, an online degree is not considered as good as a full-time degree.

If you wish to continue in academia, WILP or executive courses are especially not recommended.WILP courses are designed for individuals to learn and work simultaneously. However, it is much better to pursue a full-time course, even in BITS Pilani.

Which college is better for an MBA: Jaipuria College Noida or NDIM Delhi?

DP
Daksh Prajapati Posted On : June 8th, 2021
PGDM Marketing & Operations, IILM Gurgaon (2019)

I have friends at both Jaipuria and NDIM and based on the conversations I had with them, I will say Jaipuria is definitely a better alternative.

  • Jaipuria has a better brand value. The institute is over 24 years old with a 9000+ alumni base spread across the globe.
  • It has more than 100 experienced faculties.
  • As per the current rating, Jaipuria College Noida ranks 69th, though NDIM is not ranked at the national level, Jaipuria Noida has always been listed among the top 75-year-olds in the country by NIRF.
  • The University is AICTE-approved and provides two-year-long PGDM, PGDM in Service Management, and PGDM in Marketing.
  • The infrastructure, curricular are great. There are live projects through which you can improve your skills.
  • It also offers various scholarships to meritorious students and students from economically weak backgrounds.
  • The placement records are quite impressive. In the 2021 placement drive, the average CTC offered to the students was around 6.75 LPA.

Going by the factors mentioned above, it is safe to say that Jaipuria is better than NDIM.

Can I get a call from IIM Shillong at 92.24 percentile?

A
Admin Posted On : February 12th, 2024

My sister received a call from IIM Shillong at 91.5 percentile, a few years back. But she had other things working for her like gender diversity, academic diversity, and a work experience of 2 years. Don’t lose hope, and prepare for the interview. If it doesn’t work, try again next year. But if the opportunity does knock on your door, be prepared to receive it. You can check out the basic overall and sectional cutoffs for CAT 2023 at IIM Shillong.

What is BIMM Pune like in terms of placements?

MD
Mayank Dua Posted On : June 16th, 2021
MBA from Sri Balaji Society, Pune (2019)

My sister was a student at SBS-BIMHRD and her experience was quite surprising for her as well as our family. Before diving into the answer, let us first look at some facts.

  • The institute conducts a 2 months induction period in which you will have to report at 8 am and it continues till 9 pm.
  • In this period, there were more than 160 guest lectures conducted. This made her very disciplined.
  • The vision and motto of discipline, dedication, determination of the institution are not just for the name's sake, they actually preach and practice it.
  • The institution molds you for the corporate culture through surprise tests, academic PowerPoint presentations, and other activities.
  • There are many cultural events such as Drishti, Aiyaswami, etc which add value to your learning.
  • Time management is the biggest learning from the institution. The rigorous sessions which make you work hard make you more self-confident and industry-ready.

Now, let us come back to your question. Placements at BIMM, Pune are centralized and all the four institutions of the SBUP participate in it. The placements are decent.

Here is the highlight of BIMM placement 2020

Categories

BIMM Pune

Average Package

INR 5.4 LPA

Number of Students Placed

311

Percentage of Students Placed

85%

Top Recruiters

3SC Supply Chain Solution Pvt. Ltd and ADP India Pvt. Ltd

People may resist joining the institution because of its 365 days college policy but it is the USP of the college.

How good or bad is CSE in NIT Patna?

AS
Aditi Sinha Posted On : August 31st, 2023
B.Tech from National Institute of Technology, Patna (2020)

NIT Patna is a decent choice for your CSE. The faculty isn’t top-notch and won’t really go out of their way to guide and support you. The curriculum is as challenging as any other Engineering institute.

The placements are witnessing an increase year on year. During 2021 placements, the highest package of 44 LPA was offered to a single student from B.Tech CSE by Adobe. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Samsung, and Amazon visit the campus for IT recruitment. IBM also recruits candidates from CSE. The average CTC during 2020 placements stood at INR 8.93 LPA for the CSE department.

The campus life at NIT Patna isn’t really great and the infrastructure is also not the best. Patna, however, offers coaching facilities for CAT/ IES/ GATE aspirants. Also, the new Bihta campus of NIT Patna is expected to come into existence soon.

Overall, NIT Patna CSE is a decent choice. You will be responsible for enhancing and polishing your skills through online platforms.

Which is better between MBA from IGNOU or Symbiosis distance?

AS
Aditri Sinha Posted On : May 25th, 2022
MBA Human Resources, Indira Gandhi National Open University

IGNOU is better for an MBA compared to Symbiosis distance. The course work is challenging. It’s not easy to clear papers unless you go through the study materials thoroughly. The curriculum is a bit old but it’s effective.

If you are hard-working and have relevant work experience, you can get recruitment opportunities after doing your MBA. IGNOU MBA is even valid for PhD/Govt. jobs too.
