IIT BHU is a better choice than VJTI, SPCE, and COEP. But it totally depends on you; if you have a keen interest in the electrical or mechanical field, then go with the other options. At IIT BHU, you will have the advantage of a branch change policy; you can switch to the CSE department if you strive very hard. BHU has an effective academic structure, the best placement support, experienced scholars, an incredible campus, and a rich alumni network.

Make a wise decision by giving importance to personal choice. You will be able to excel in any institute if you have a strong passion for your subject
The newer IIT colleges are not a great choice for your education. Mostly the college statistics and placement information are wrong and manipulated. You cannot trust the given placement CTC offered by the institutes. Most IITs lure students by showing the highest placement salary package, but most of the time they are not the correct data.
In 2020 there is little scope in the electrical engineering field. Hence, choosing and investing time and money in colleges, which will not provide return must be avoided.
However, whichever IIT you choose, what is more, important is your hard work and study. As the college or university itself doesn’t promise and guarantee your good future or better placement.
Both NSIT IT and DTU COE are CS-related programs with similar opportunities and peer groups. So if you have to choose one between the two consider the following aspects
Overall, both institutes have their pros and cons and will provide enough opportunities. So choose the one that aligns with your preferences!
Dropping a year would not be a wise decision if you are genuinely interested in CSE, and have an option of joining IIIT Delhi. I don’t think the college name matters to the extent that you would be giving up on the chance of joining IIIT Delhi CS. In fact, it’s slowly making its own name and in a few years will be among the top engineering colleges in India. Moreover, your UG college is just a stepping stone and its brand name won’t matter much and does not correlate with one’s success.
Joining IIIT Delhi will open doors to multiple opportunities like working on big projects, exploring hobbies, and traveling. If you choose to take a drop year, you will be struggling again with the same exam just to get a better rank. Personally, I don’t think these exams are authentic measures of an individual’s aptitude for computer science.
A close friend of mine was in a similar dilemma and was about to take a drop year when his mother persuaded him against the decision he finally decided to join IIIT Delhi and later realized it to be the best decision of his life. The 4 years were an ethereal experience allowing him to explore his research interests, learn and apply what’s new in computer science, and grow as an individual. So, in your case too, taking a drop year isn’t advisable.
The course of coding at Ashoka is not as good as the IIT’s of India. Studying here I can tell that Coding is still in development, rather being a newer establishment.
