Which is better, CSE at IIT Bhubaneswar or at IIT Mandi?
IIT Bhubaneswar and IIT Mandi are both well-known institutions in the field of engineering. Both of them offer a decent B.Tech CSE course.
The good thing about joining IIT Bhubaneswar is that it has clubs and societies dedicated to robotics, web design and programming. These clubs and societies are- Robotics and Intelligent Systems Club (RISC), Web and Design Society (WebnD), and Neuromancers (The Programming Society).

I have many friends pursuing Mechanical Engineering in Pune from institutes like CIIT, VIT or MIT. Here is a comparative analysis of the two based on some common aspects
- Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise, MIT is way ahead of VIIT and VIT. It has better campus facilities and a more diverse curriculum than other institutes. VIIT also has a decent infrastructure followed by VIT.
- Academics : All the aforementioned institutes have a well-updated curriculum mainly because they are autonomous. The faculty pool in general is of similar quality and you will have to depend on self-study more or less everywhere you go.
- Diversity : MIT has a more diverse student pool and you will get to interact with people coming from different states. Based on the crowd diversity, the preference order would be MIT> VIT> VIIT
- Practical exposure : VIT offers the best practical exposure because its Mechanical Engineering program is the oldest among the aforementioned institutes. VIIT and MIT ME branch is new so the exposure offered is very limited. In fact, these students are taken to VIT for exposure.
- Placements: VIIT and MIT have a similar average package of around INR 7 LPA while VIT had a lower average package of around INR 4.77 LPA.
The final decision will depend on your future prospects and inclinations.
Which is better NIT Raipur civil, PEC Chandigarh civil, IIIT Naya Raipur ECE or any other IIIT ECE?
Among all the above choices, PEC Chandigarh is preferred due to the scenario of placement, which is better compared to the others. Do not depend on the NIT or IIIT tag as PEC holds a better reputation as an educational institution.

Which college is better for a BTech in CSE, Bharati Vidyapeeth Delhi or DIT University Dehradun?
Bharati Vidyapeeth Delhi is better than DIT University for a BTech in CSE. It is under IP university and has better brand recognition. Bharati Vidyapeeth placements are great, especially for CSE. Students usually receive an average CTC of around INR 5 LPA. While the highest package offered to the branch is around INR 12 LPA. Due to the location advantage, the recruiting companies visiting the campus placement is better too.
What is the highest package to date for a B.Tech computer science student at IIT Bhubaneswar?
According to the placement highlight of 2019-20, IIT Bhubaneswar witnessed two computer science students bag the highest package to date, i.e. 43 LPA. Prior to that, in the 2018-19 session, 39 LPA was the highest package offered by Adobe, with 11.44LPA being the average. The stats show that computer science students get the most attractive packages ranging between 10-35 LPA on average, as compared to other branches that are offered 10-20 LPA. ITM GOI is the better option among these for CSE. It offers better academics, placements, and campus life. As per the recent highlights, ITM GOI placements have an average CTC of around INR 5-6 LPA. Recruiters such as Infosys, Byju’s, TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc. take part in the campus placements. The placement rate for the institute is around 90%.
Which among IIIT Jabalpur CSE, NIT Jamshedpur ECE, Kurukshetra ECE, NIT Raipur CSE, NIT Hamirpur ECE, NIT Jalandhar CSE colleges is best?
There are two options available to you. Choose between IIIT Jabalpur and NIT Raipur for CSE.
Why choose NIT Raipur?
- As of now, the placement scenario is favorable.
- Seniors would provide you with sound advice.
- There is a greater emphasis on practical hands-on experience among peers.
- The highest salary package offered to three students was 32.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA.
- You'd almost certainly get a job.
NIT Raipur, why not?
- If you want to pursue higher education, NIT Raipur is a no-go.
- There are few opportunities for research.
- The brand name NIT does not help with the GRE.
- Higher education is entirely theoretical. Peers get together and must put in extra effort to gain hands-on experience.
- The syllabus is not focused on the current business world.
Why choose IIIT Jabalpur?
- It would teach you CSE from the first year, unlike other NITs, which require you to study common subjects like chemical, civil, and mechanical engineering.
- The placement scenario is nearly identical to that of NIT Raipur. However, it will improve as IIIT Jabalpur improves.
- There will be far more research opportunities than at NIT Raipur.
- The brand name may be beneficial for the GRE.
- The IIIT experience is more enriching than the NIT experience.
- IIIT Jabalpur has a competitive coding culture.
Why not IIIT Jamshedpur?
- The students have stern words for IIIT Jabalpur.
- The situation is similar at NIT Raipur but much more serious.
- Jabalpur is not a pleasant city to visit.
- It is in the lower echelons of IIITs that Extra-curricular activities are not spectacular.
Can I get into the chemical engineering program at IET Lucknow with a general of 20K and a GNGL of 2,500?
Honestly, the answer is No. One of my friends was in a similar situation and he did not get admission with a rank closer to this.
With the GNGL rank of 2,500, it would be very difficult for you to get into the chemical engineering program at IET Lucknow. The general rank is way higher.
I would strongly suggest you not settle for any random private college with this rank. It would be better to take a year drop.
However, if you have other options such as JEE Mains, you can try private colleges like LNMIIT, Thapar, etc.
My general rank is 3556 in the UPSEE. Can I get into IET Lucknow CS, ECE, or any?
