From which semester do placements start for CSE students in PES University?
Usually, the placement starts at the end of summer vacation after the 6th semester, around the end of July. Companies start visiting for recruitment from the start of fourth year. Each year around 85% of students get placed from the branch. The average CTC for the branch is around INR 4 LPA. While the highest CTC goes up to around INR 14 LPA. Major companies such as IBM, Infosys, Wipro, etc. recruit from MAKAUT.
How is biotechnology department of Heritage Institution of Technology in terms of facilities quality management and placements compared to the other branches like CSE and ECE?
The faculty and the labs are excellent at Biotechnology Department. Placements are also good. You will find many students in this department who are really very serious and good in studies ie. better than many students of ECE and CSE.
Most probably the all-department topper in our first semester was from the Biotech department. You may take it if you are interested in this subject.

Having friends in both the colleges, I can say that MNIT Jaipur and IIIT Lucknow are equally good in their own ways. If you get a chance in any of these colleges, go for it.
Apart from getting admission in any one of either the only thing which would give you trouble is which field to choose? But, I would like to say that whatever field you choose, if you work hard and be honest with your studies you will land in a better place.
- But answering your question with rank 11803 in the JEE Main; I would like to say that MNIT Jaipur is a much better college than IIIT Lucknow.
- If you ask me, nowadays the trend and placement of MNIT Jaipur are on par. But, if you are really interested in CSE then definitely look for CSE or IT in well-established IIITs.
- And with the rank of 11803, you might have a chance to get into old IIITs or TIER 2 NITs.
