If you're considering NIT Allahabad and IIEST Shibpur for CS, ETC, or IT branches, it's worth noting that NIT Allahabad has better placement records than IIEST Shibpur. However, for Mechanical, Electrical, or other branches, the placements are almost the same in both places, and IIEST is growing and improving.
IIEST Shibpur has a better record of research and academics, while NIT Allahabad has better placements and the advantage of being an NIT.
The infrastructure of both institutions is comparable, and IIEST's ranking is increasing, while NIT Allahabad's remains stagnant. Still, many students choose colleges based on existing cutoffs and ratings, even if a better-performing institution exists.
For now, NIT Allahabad may be the better choice due to its NIT tag, but keep in mind that a tag doesn't guarantee success in the corporate world. Ultimately, placements depend on the skills and training of the students.
In terms of ranking, the order would be top NITs (such as Warangal, Trichy, Rourkela, and Suratkhal), followed by IIEST Shibpur and NITs like Durgapur, Allahabad, VNIT Nagpur, Surat, and Kurukshetra. Lower NITs such as Jamshedpur, Hamirpur, Agartala, Silchar, and Sikkim would come next, with NIT Uttarakhand, Goa, Mizoram, etc., bringing up the rear.
Nirma University has been graded ‘A’ by NAAC. It has also ranked 13th for MBA by Outlook India in 2020. Apart from that, it has ranked 10th among the top private engineering colleges by Times in 2019 and 15th by India Today in 2019. VIT, on the other side, is an ‘A’ graded university (by NAAC’s evaluation) and has ranked 15th among the top engineering institutions by NIRF.
Since both these institutes are reputed, it can get tricky to choose either one of them. Here are some of the most important factors that can help you in making the decision.
Admission:
Aspiring students who want to take admission at Nirma University for CSE have to qualify for JEE Main and GUJCET. The course fee remains around 7 Lakh.
Those who want to pursue CSE at VIT, have to qualify for VITEEE and the course fee is 7 Lakh.
Placement:
Nirma University:
Top recruiters who offer placements to Nirma University students include Dabur, Daikun, Essar, Ingram, Infosys, IBM, Saint Gobain, Sun Pharma, Samsung, Morgan Stanley, Reliance, and many more.
More than 90% of students get placed every year from this institution. The highest and average salary package remains to be 14 LPA and 3 LPA.
VIT:
The highest domestic package that is usually offered to the VIT students remains to be around 40 Lakh and the average package remains somewhere between 5 LPA to 7 LPA.
Top recruiters are Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Infosys, Intel, Bank of America, PWC, and more.
More than 90% of students get placements every year as per the records.
Other factors: Apart from these factors, other factors like infrastructure, faculty, etc. usually are the same for both these institutes. Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls inside the campuses.
These are some of the major factors that you should be considering while making the final decision.
In my opinion, Symbiosis is better. As a lot of my friends studied at Symbiosis, I might be able to provide you with some information about the college.
As Symbiosis is a private institute, the fees will considerably be higher than Fergusson. But it is good to invest in a college which will give you a proper and industry-oriented education. So Symbiosis won't be a bad choice.
Among these two, IIIT Dharwad will be a better choice. Here are some reasons why you should choose IIIT Dharwad.
Here is a brief highlight of IIIT Dharwad.

Not having a permanent campus will not be a big issue, if you are not that into extra-curricular. From an academics and placement point of view, IIIT Dharwad is definitely a better alternative.
All the 3 NITs namely NIT Trichy, Surathkal, and Warangal are considered to be among the top NITs and are highly regarded engineering colleges. Their rankings are also quite similar but in my opinion, the preference order should be
NIT Warangal>NIT Surathkal>NIT Trichy
The reason Trichy should be your last option is because it does not permit students to go for Internship which in turn results in no PPOs. Many students get PPOs and thus are free from the stress of sitting for placements. Also, internships give you a better experience of the real world. Here is a brief overview of these 3 colleges

New IIMs are being projected as amazing institutes when the truth is far different. The media is relaying false information for the sake of publicity.
So I will personally recommend the following not to join any new IIMs at any cost.
