It would be advised that mechanical is always a better choice than aerospace. You can choose to go for Mechanical engineering without giving it much thought and discussion.
Well, there are benefits for each branch. However, EEE offers you more chances to work in the core-field and other primary areas.
I know a few people from Bannari Amman. According to them, many students and staff from the EEE are engaged in multiple consultancy work. They also undertake AICTE, MNRE approved projects.
The lab facilities are well equipped to carry out academic works. EEE students do get placed in top MNCs and core sector companies through campus placements.
Here is a brief highlight of the recent lament for EEE at the institute.

Placement mostly depends on different aspects. When you train for interviews, you will know about it. Rest, just work hard enough and try not to get any backlogs as many companies demand students with zero to no backlogs.
The cutoffs are released after the spot round. So, it’s difficult to say what is the required cutoff for Electrical branch in the spot round at PEC Chandigarh.
But assuming that you are from the open/general category, these are the starting cut-off ranks for recent years.

Since the number of seats in PEC is the same as last year (no increase or decrease) you can expect fairly the same ranks this year too. So, work hard and make sure you get in the rank range.
In terms of brand recognition and exposure, NSUT IT is better than PEC Chandigarh. Delhi offers way better exposure, due to the presence of the industry belt in the area. There are many reputed technological institutes in Delhi such as IIITD, so the learning opportunities are ample.
CSE and IT aren’t too different. The major difference between the two branches is hardware and 90% of students are more invested in software roles. If you aren’t particularly interested in the hardware section of Computer Science, choosing NSUT will be better. NSUT placements are great for IT. Students of the branch get salary packages in the range of INR 4 - 20 LPA.
IIEST Shibpur is better than BIT Sindri in terms of placements, infrastructure, and academics. There are a lot of resources available to you and if you are willing then it will be a great learning experience for you.
The college is more than 160 years old and thus has a huge list of alumni base. It has recently been converted to an Institute of National Importance (INI) and is equivalent to an NIT.
The campus also offers a great scenic view. Some of the placement stats of mining engineering for the year 2020 are given below.
So IIEST Shibpur edges ahead BIT Sindri according to the opportunities they offer. You can definitely talk to other students and form your own opinion as well.
Chemical Engineering and ECE, both the branches are in demand. The major scope of Chemical Engineering is in chemical, food processing, pharma, medical industries, oil, and gas, etc.
The major scope of ECE is in android, mobile, and telecommunication. The majority of the students prefer ECE because of two reasons. The first reason being comfort. Secondly, after acquiring skills in programming languages, it is easy to switch to the IT or software field.
Here is a brief overview of CE at NIT Calicut and ECE at IIIT Jabalpur.

It doesn’t matter in which branch of engineering you are in, every branch has some theory sessions and practical sessions. It is important to take the help of technology to implement theoretical concepts practically.
You can definitely carry a laptop in the class but you might not be allowed to use it during lectures. You need to take prior permission from the faculty if you want to operate it for programming or learning a lesson. If anyone denies you to do so, you can directly contact the HOD. Other than that, you can use it during lunchtime for practice sessions.
LNCT has well-established labs for each branch and they are updated with the latest software. You can utilize the laboratories easily if you don’t have a laptop.
One of my friends is an alumnus of PEC Chandigarh. According to him, the Mechanical branch has good placement statistics. Here are a few highlights of the branch that may be helpful.
Lastly, if you have options to go for better NITs such as Allahabad, Bhopal, Raipur, etc. go for it. Many reputed PSUs visit the campus placements of these NITs and offer Design profiles.
