I belong to Silchar and pursued my MBBS from NEIGRIHMS. This makes me qualified to talk about both. Here are some details on both these institutions-
NEIGRIHMS:
SMC:
If you are a domicile of Assam, it is better to do your MBBS from SMC. After your graduation, go for rural posting. After all this, you’ll become eligible for state PG quota. NEIGRIHMS has a very high competition for PG seats, and getting in for a UR student is especially difficult.
Both are equally good colleges, and you should choose between them based on your own preferences.
From a placement perspective, companies often prefer candidates with experience in manufacturing or construction, or a related field. This has been observed by some of the students, who had difficulty securing their desired operations jobs. However, it is worth noting that there are also opportunities available for those who do not have such closely related experience.
SJMSOM may be a better choice for those interested in operations than IIM Shillong. Some may argue that the IIM brand carries more weight in the long term, but once an individual has been placed and has gained sufficient experience, it is their track record that truly matters. It is recommended to speak with current students at the school of interest, avoiding the public relations committee as they may be biased, to better understand placement prospects for a particular profile. This can help inform the decision of where to pursue an MBA.
One of my friends who studied at the institute has said that it ranked 3rd in the 1-year MBA program category by Outlook India. It offers immense learning opportunities as the students are guided by some of the world’s brilliant academicians and industry experts.
Some of the exciting highlights of Great Lakes Gurugram is:

So, if you wish to study at a better-established Institute that has a reliable track record then you should choose BIMTECH.
Having friends in both colleges, in my opinion, ISBS Pune is much better than IIM Indore. Let me share some details, as to why I feel this way.
The table below will give you an idea regarding the placements:

I think firstly you need to change your mindset. Rather than pondering on which college is better, ponder on which college is better for you. Analyzing your situation this way will enable you to make a wiser decision. This is because only you truly know what you want from your MBA degree, and that is the sole basis for deciding your choice of college.
Now identifying your own interests and preferences might be a tricky task. I have some tips that might help you know your forte.
Checking all these aspects might help you come up with a healthy decision. Don’t be hasty to choose a B School as this decision will affect your career.
Honestly, this is not even a comparison. VIT (any campus) is way better than Heritage Institute of Technology. Actually, Heritage Institute of Technology is not even the best college in the Kolkata region. It is the Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM).
Heritage Institute of Technology is obviously cheaper than VIT to study and also closer to your home if you are from the eastern region of India. You will get a job after graduating with a starting salary of around INR 3.5 lakhs per annum. If you have financial constraints and you are ok with this kind of starting salary then Heritage Institute of Technology will not disappoint you.
However, if you are well enough to pay for the fee of VIT, then in no way you should even think of Heritage Institute of Technology. The environment you will get there are obviously the placements of VIT are way better than Heritage Institute of Technology to even consider them for comparison.
VSSUT might be the best govt college, but CET is equally good. The only reason VSSUT has a better reputation is because of its rich legacy. There are some other minor aspects in which VSSUT and better than CET Bhubaneswar
Overall, VSSUT grooms you better as a person although both colleges have a long way to go before they can be even called good institutions by Indian standards.
I have arranged all the above colleges in the order of their general ranks.
IIEST Shibpur: One of the oldest institutes in the country.
IIT Gwalior: CSE-oriented college and as prestigious as NITs.
NIT Durgapur: A prime REC-to-NIT
NIT Jamshedpur: An old RIT/REC-to-NIT with excellent facilities and infrastructures.
NIT Jalandhar: An old REC-to-NIT
NIT Delhi: It lies in the capital and enjoys better connectivity.
NIT Goa: It is a new college, but lies in the coastal zone and has better connectivity.
NIT Hamirpur: Included in the NIRF rank list, but communication/connectivity is poor as it is located in hilly terrain.
Remember that the order can always be changed based on your own convenience regarding location. The general order is:
IIEST Shibpur>IIT Gwalior>NIT Durgapur>NIT Jamshedpur>NIT Jalandhar>NIT Delhi>NIT Goa>NIT Hamirpur
It depends on you. All three colleges are good in terms of alumni and placements. But, there lies a competition between NIT Calicut and BITS.
Although both have been in existence for a long time now, are excellent colleges, both have a good brand value, one gives you a tag of a NITian and the other gives you a tag of a BITSian, the difference lies in their ranking and placement records.
NIT C is among the top 4 NITs in our country. If we consider the ECE department, it is almost at the same level as NIT Trichy. The average placement for circuit branches is around 12 LPA and the highest placement might go above 30 LPA. Additionally, a higher number of companies recruit from NIT C. BITS Pilani, Goa also provides great placements and good courses. The average CTC offered at BITS Goa is 5 LPA. Apart from infrastructure and attendance policy, other things are similar.
However, PSU visits the NIT Calicut campus during placement drives. A student of the ECE department can sit during the IT placement which is difficult in BITS if you do not take some specific courses.
Both the colleges have certain merits and demerits. The distinguishing factor can be the fee structure. If money is not a concern for you, you can go for BITS Goa but for middle-class students, NIT C would be the best option.
IIM Shillong is the better college among these. The institute puts emphasis on hands-on learning. You will learn how to handle real-time issues. The coursework and teaching go well beyond classroom learning. IIM Shillong has made great strides in recent years in terms of facilities and infrastructure. It has an impressive placement record. IIM Shillong placements in 2022 witnessed the highest CTC of INR 55.22 LPA. This year the major recruiters were Deloitte, DE Shaw, TATA Steel, etc.
