What is the placement scenario at IIIT Pune? Where are the classes being conducted and by when will they have a permanent campus?

TG
Tulika Gaba Posted On : June 14th, 2021
B.Tech from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune (2023)

The highest package is by the leading on-demand multi-service platform and digital payment technology group of Southeast Asia, Gojek. Students from both branches, the CSE and ECE, received this package. The batch of 2020 was the first to get placed. The placement packages are increasing yearly, and the seniors are putting in their hard work to surge these numbers.

The placements of the institute in the year 2020 are below.

Average Package INR 5 Lakhs
Highest Package INR 22 Lakhs
Top Recruiters Infosys, Xoriant, HDFC Bank, L&T Infotech, and IBM.

The internship placement of the institute stood at 100%.

Overall, the institution has the best return on investment. The only disadvantage is that it does not have a permanent campus, which can be solved in the upcoming years.

Which is the best branch at KJ Somaiya Engineering, considering faculty and placements?

AP
Arjun Pandey Posted On : June 14th, 2021
B.E. from K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering (2017)

According to my friends studying there, KJSCE is well equipped with infrastructural facilities, including separate hostels for boys and girls, more than 70 labs, a widespread library, classrooms and seminar halls, a spacious auditorium, sports equipment and infrastructure, and a medical centre.

Fee and Placement

Fee

INR 11.35 Lakhs

Average Package

INR 5.71 LPA

Highest Package

INR 40 LPA

KJSCE has the best mechanical engineering faculty but it has fewer placements. The placements for the Computer Science and IT branch are the highest. The majority number of students get placed from these two branches. These branches are the baggage of opportunities. Even if you are unable to crack top interviews, there are still opportunities to go with mass recruiters like Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, and others.

To conclude, the branch branches to pursue in terms of return are CSE and IT in KJSCE, but Mechanical Engineering is the best for academic learning.

Is Bhartiya Vidyapeeth University University, Pune a good university with the best placement for a B.Tech student?

AT
Ayushi Tiwari Posted On : June 27th, 2021
B.Tech in EE from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune (2020)

Bhartiya Vidyapeeth University, Pune is certainly a good institute.

  • For the E&TC branch, the placement scenario and the packages that are provided are both good. CS&IT branches have average placement records. For Civil, the placement record is not that good. The studies at the Mechanical Department are good and tougher as compared to other branches. There, you would find a group of faculty members who are seniors and much more experienced in their subject domain.
  • According to 2020 placement highlights, the average package which is offered is around 7 LPA. The highest placement that was offered went up to 12 LPA.

Getting good placement also depends a lot on your efforts. The campus is green and beautiful.

How is the placement of ECE at MAIT IPU?

KP
Kritika Patil Posted On : June 10th, 2021
B.Tech Information Technology, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (2016)

One of my cousins is an ECE graduate of BVCOE (IPU). Here are her two cents about the placement at the institute.

  • Placement records of MAIT IPU are quite good. However, it depends on whether you want to pursue a core ECE job or an IT job focused on programming. It means, obtaining a core ECE job would be quite difficult because there is little to no company that would offer a core job on the campus placement.
  • Although, if you are looking for placement in an IT company, then your chances of acquiring a good placement are fairly on the positive side.
  • More essentially, nearly everyone gets a placement, if they are from the background of CSE, IT, or ECE branch. It is because they are usually considered more competent to fit in IT firms such as TCS, Infosys, and several others.
  • The average package has been recorded to 3.50 LPA whereas the highest salary is 28 LPA.

Thus, if you have scored 70% or above with no backlog history, then the chances of you obtaining a job in any IT company are good. In addition, if you are good with programming, then your chances of getting placed in top IT companies will considerably be more.
