How is IIIT Hyderabad? Is it good? Is it worth joining? Is it comparable to NIT Warangal?

Which is better Calcutta university or Presidency university for a PG course in economics?
Between Calcutta University and Presidency University for a PG, you should opt for Presidency University. Having studied in Calcutta University, I suggest you go for Presidency instead.
- Calcutta University is known to provide low marks to students.
- The teachers are part of the board or question setter which doesn't give good marks and a student has to study under them.
- Apart from this, there are certain colleges that, to improve their grades, give good marks to the students.
- Both of these cases are not good. Along with this, the marks get worse as the answer sheets are not checked by the college faculty and are instead checked by someone else.
- The Presidency won over these things. A student scores good marks in Presidency.
- The teachers are not that strict and they only check the answers sheets.
- As it's only the college teachers who do the questions and answers work in the exam, once getting familiar with them will help a student score well.
Therefore, it's better to opt for Presidency University. Due to its better faculty, facilities and overall experience.
Which is better for engineering GNDU or PTU?
Both the PTU and GNDU are different in their terms and have their advantages and disadvantages. The GNDU is strict with the examination rules, whereas at PTU rules regarding examinations are quite relaxed in comparison. Choosing PTU or GNDU also depends on which course you are choosing. At last, everything depends on the college you want to opt for. If you are coming to Punjab from any of the places they don’t. The private colleges are not that good in the state. Therefore, don’t fall for the private colleges of Punjab.

Should I take production engineering at MNNIT Allahabad and try for a branch change or should I take CS in NIT Raipur?

- Don’t opt for a branch just because of the higher CTC, or college brand name, etc. Because the degree you will get is for life. So, make sure you are interested to work in the field that you are choosing.
- Also, go through the syllabus given on the official website and see if you can do the coursework for the branch of your choosing.

My brother was a student of MNNIT Allahabad and for his 1st year, the highest CGPA was 9.67, while many scored 9. So, the chances of branch upgradation are quite slim.
Why is CSE at IIITD considered better than CSE at NSIT?
NSUT Delhi is known for its COE (Computer Engineering) course.
The COE course is different from CSE. In COE, you will study hardware, electronics & signals, and codes & algorithms. Unlike CSE, software is not the main focus of study in COE.
Now as far as a comparison between them is considered, IIITD has a much better teaching environment than NSUT Delhi. Though it also has an experienced faculty, you will mainly be taught by Ph.D. students during the first two years.
Unlike before, however, the NSUT Delhi curriculum has been updated. There is now a CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) and you won’t have to compulsorily study unnecessary subjects. Both institutes have a pretty good placement record. Although the COE branch concerns itself more with hardware, students get placed majorly in software profiles.
All I can say is that NSUT Delhi has now an updated curriculum and a university status. On the other hand, IIITD is a comparatively new player in this field that is also performing quite well. Thus, both institutions are a good choice to pursue your computer studies.
Which institute should I join, IIIT Naya Raipur or NIT Raipur?
As a student of IIIT Naya Raipur, I will tell you about the facilities provided at my college-
- IIIT Naya Raipur is newly established which means it has a modern infrastructure. The labs and lecture halls are well-equipped with ACs. Electronics labs contain all the necessary hardware and software equipment. Data science labs are good as well. The library is two-floored and contains a wide range of books. The hostel rooms are well-made. Canteen and mess facilities are provided in the hostels.
- The entire campus, including the hostels, canteen area and ground, all are covered by a strong wifi network.
- The curriculum is well-designed and in close alignment with the syllabus of top IITs and IIITs.
- You’ll be studying your branch from the first year itself.
- The institution has special cells developed to make its students prepare for their PG studies.
- There is a provision for special scholarships for the students, based on their performance in semester exams.
- The students from this institution have won several coding, robotics and cultural competitions at various IITs and NITs.
I don’t know much about NIT Raipur, so I can’t compare the two. However, I would suggest you reach out to some seniors from NIT Raipur as well. This will help you establish a clear comparison between the two colleges.
As far as IIIT Naya Raipur is concerned, it is a good institution with modern infrastructure and all the facilities.
Is it better to study an MBA in FMS Delhi or IIM Kozhikode ?
FMS Delhi is better for an MBA. The institute is ahead of IIM Kozhikode in terms of fees, placement, ROI, cutoff, and other aspects.
FMS Delhi fees are only INR 1.92 lakhs, while the average CTC for the institute is INR 32.4 LPA. So, the return on investment is pretty good. Around 100+ companies participate in the placement drive each year.
Which college should I choose for mechanical engineering - Manipal (main campus) or MAIT (GGSIPU, Delhi) (read description)?
Both Manipal University and MAIT are amongst the top 20 colleges for pursuing engineering in India.

Students who wish to pursue a BTech degree must appear for the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) and score within the closing rank of 6138 to get a seat on the main campus.

Students must have a minimum aggregate of 50% in their 10 +2 with Physics, Memetics, and English as a compulsory subject and Biology/Chemistry/ Biotechnology as an optional subject.

Manipal has a total of 200 seats with a tuition fee of INR 16.3 lakhs for four years.
MAIT-

For MAIT, applicants must sit for the JEE main examination and obtain a rank within 7000 to acquire a seat.

A minimum of 55% aggregate in 10+2 and English as a compulsory subject is required. Students who wish to take admission through lateral entry must sit for the IPU CET test.

MAIT has a seat matrix of 180 with a tuition fee of INR 4.62 lakhs for four years for Mechanical Engineering.
Infrastructure:
Manipal University- It is known for its excellent infrastructure with high-end labs which are updated every three years to add in the latest equipment. The classrooms are well maintained and are fully air-conditioned and equipped with projectors, speakers, and microphones. The entire campus is Wi-Fi-enabled, and hostels are provided on the basis of merit.
MAIT- It has one of the best and largest campuses in Delhi. Classrooms are air-conditioned and come with smart classes, and labs have all the latest equipment. The library has a system called ‘Book Bank’ where students with financial difficulties can get books for free.
Faculty:
Both the colleges provided top-tier faculty who are supportive and have the highest degree of education. The mechanical department of Manipal has faculty from IIT and NIT, and all faculties of MAIT either have a Ph.D. or are pursuing one.

Which one should I choose, IT in Surathkal or MNNIT, Allahabad?
MNNIT Allahabad offers similar opportunities for IT and CSE branches. Other than a few subjects, the curriculum, faculty, and career opportunities are more or less the same for NIT Allahabad.
Though Surathkal is promising a better university life with beaches and all.
NIT Allahabad houses one of the country's biggest and brightest CSE departments. Here you're getting a good, competitive, and coding-oriented environment. Seniors are very supportive and the course is good. But the location is quite remote so if you belong to a metro city, you will be disappointed with the city life.
In terms of placements, both institutes are almost on the same level.
