Which college should I choose - IMS BHU or KGMU Lucknow?
In my opinion, IMS BHU is a better option than KGMU Lucknow. Here are a few strong reasons to support my opinion
- IMS BHU is under the central government, unlike KGMU which is under the State Government. So it’s not affected by the unpredictability of different rules brought by the government.
- IMS BHU has only a smaller batch size than KGMU which translates to better student-teacher ratio and also more exposure.
- IMS BHU has an internal PG reservation while KGMU has a State reservation. PG reservation isn’t very appealing because most toppers choose AIIMS.
- IMS BHU is under the central government so it offers more stipend as compared to KGMU.
- KGMU has a more urban life while Varanaari offers a more traditional and peaceful life perfect for nature lovers.
- IMS BHU Medical ranking by Outlook is 2 out of 13 colleges in India in 2023 while that of KGMU is 4 out of 13
- KGMU’s biggest con is the rural service bond of 2 years for UG while IMS BHU does not have any rural service bond because it is not under the state government.
- KGMU has a better infrastructure surrounded by a green campus.
Both the colleges are excellent in their own way but if I had to choose one, I would have chosen IMS BHU.
Why would I prefer NMIMS Navi Mumbai over NMIMS Bangalore for MBA?
NMIMS Bangalore is definitely a better choice than NMIMS Navi Mumbai considering its superior location in contrast to NMIMS Navi Mumbai. Located in the silicon valley of India, the students of NIMS Bangalore are exposed to a number of live projects, case studies, and Industry visits. The student's overall development is given importance and their passion is promoted through clubs and committees for almost everything. How’s the BBA program at St. Xavier’s Kolkata?
Some people believe that the BBA program at St. Xavier’s Kolkata is not on par with other institutions. However, this is not correct. The course has, over the years, improved in every aspect. The course intake is not very high, something that assures a better learning experience for the students.
The program offers an enriching experience. The entrance test is based on Maths, Aptitude, and English. There is no negative marking.
Some students are offered amazing packages, some are offered decent ones. The opportunity to study and live in Kolkata is a big one in itself.
The attendance criteria and course study might cause hindrances in CAT preparation at times. But with proper management, that will be overall manageable.
If you get the chance, you should consider pursuing your BBA from St. Xavier’s Kolkata. The program and the institution will offer you exposure.

Is it really worth studying in Athena school of management? Is ITM Mumbai better than Athena or is Balaji Pune better among both?
Since my cousin studied in Pune and Mumbai both can answer this question better. Here is what she has to say about it. In terms of Management Studies, Mumbai can be considered as a better option than Pune. It is because Mumbai is the corporate and financial capital of India.
Now, when comparing Athena School of Management and ITM Business School, the events can be different,
- Location: Athena is located in Powai, which is mainly a corporate hub in Mumbai, while ITM is located in Kharghar which is not basically Mumbai.
- Faculty: The faculty of Athena are known to be the Top Corporate executives. ITM, on the other hand, has a faculty of academicians and several retired corporate professionals.
- Directors: The director of Athena is a former SP Jain and Wharton alumnus. Meanwhile, the dean of ITM is from Lucknow University.
- Internships: Athena provides multiple internships to students, i.e., one in each semester. In contrast, ITM only offers one.
- International Exposure: While Athena provides Two International immersions, in Singapore and Germany, and an Optional International Internship; ITM only offers One International Immersion typically for just certain specializations (International business only).
- Corporate Contact: The arriving guest faculty of Athena every week usually is a CEO or CXO. students widely take part in several ASSOCHAM or IBA or IMC Corporate Conferences, Entrepreneurship, and Startup Summits. Based on this long list of factors, it is pretty clear that Athena is the clear winner.
I got IIIT Dharwad CSE. Is it good to join there or shall I proceed to round two? What is the mentor institute for IIIT Dharwad?
IIIT Dharwad is a newly established institute and it will be better not to make high expectations from this institute yet. It is running as a temporary campus at IT Park. Still, things have got little changes as it has permanent faculty, sports ground, labs infrastructure, as it got the mentor-like IIIT Bangalore.
You must go for round 2 without any doubt. Because this institute is running in a provisional campus in a free building and the college administration does not have a single penny to pay rent or take a permanent campus. Everything is going on charity in this institute.
Infrastructures, lab facilities, hostels, mess, administration, and most importantly, the placement is lagging; in short, all these are very poor.

Students get extremely worst treatment here, specifically in the hostels, as it has no facilities and the mess is completely pathetic.
Thus, it is requested not to join this institute, as the college environment is impoverished than any other private institute. College administration is totally frustrated and not even able to run the central Government institute.
It is better to select some other private college rather than this IIIT. However, attendance here is very reluctant, which is 85%, but college administration considers the below percentage if the student gives them any excuses.
Which engineering college should I choose among VIT, SRM, Amity, Amrita, LPU, KIIT and Manipal for CSE?
VIT, SRM, Amity, Amrita, LPU, KIIT and MAHE are all good universities. As a BTech CSE Student at LPU, I can share a personal account. LPU has ranked amongst the Top 50 in the NIRF Engineering Rankings. The B.Tech CSE course is one of the top UG Engineering courses offered by LPU.
The course curriculum is updated and well-structured. It meets the global industrial needs, and is taught by a good faculty. The teaching staff is knowledgeable and guided us well. It competes with top Indian as well as International universities.
Apart from the above mentioned, some of the other points as a student of LPU, why BTech CSE is a good option here, are listed below.
- LPU has tie ups with various universities and organizations. It has really good labs with the updated softwares to provide students with the necessary practical exposure alongside their theory.
- Students also get access to online study material such as research journals, annual reports, and other business dissertations for their projects.
- The placement record and the right mix of curricular and extracurricular activities makes LPU a preferred university. The highest salary package offered often goes up to 40 LPA and above. The previous year placement statistics are also given below.

How to prepare yourself to get admissions into NSD?
Join some local theatre club and do amateur theatre for a year or more. Try to work with different directors during your amateur theatre period. You can ask them for recommendations for admission.
Also, check the NSD website and stay updated. They usually release admission forms around the month of April-May.
What is the average package for electrical engineering at IIT Bombay?
In 2023, IIT Bombay held Phase 1 placements where students got job offers from many top companies in India and other countries. The highest Indian offer was INR 3.67 crore per year, and the highest international offer was INR 1.31 crore per year. This shows that companies value the education and training provided by IIT Bombay. The average salary offered was INR 23.26 LPA, which is higher than the previous year.
Out of the 1,648 offers received, 1,431 students accepted job offers, which is a great achievement. Many students received job offers with a salary of over INR 1 crore per year, which shows that IIT Bombay provides high-quality education and there is a lot of demand for skilled graduates.
Is NIT Surathkal better than IIT Roorkee
It would be unfair to make a comparison between NIT Surathkal and lIT Roorkee, as both institutions have their own strengths and reputations. Yet if I were asked to choose one, I would have definitely gone for IIT Roorkee as it is at a whole different level from NIT Surathkal.
Here are a few reasons that justify my claim:
- IIT Roorkee ranks 6 among other IITs
- It is Asia's oldest Engineering college
- You get the tag of being an IITian
- It has an extensive alumni network owing to its early establishment
The only condition under which I would recommend you choose NIT Surathkal over IIT Roorkee is when you are getting CSE at NIT and Metallurgy at IIT Roorkee. Else, choosing IIT Roorkee over NIT Surathkal will always be a wise decision.
