  • JCECE should have been taken by the candidate. There will be some counseling sessions.
  • Admission to this course is open to students of any age.

The following steps are needed to be followed to apply for JCECE:

  • Visit JCECE's official website.
  • Select 'New Registration' by clicking. After that fill out the registration form with the necessary information.
  • You will receive a registration number and a password for the login procedure after completing it.
  • Access the official website by entering your registration number and birthdate.
  • Complete the application.
  • Submit and upload scanned copies of your ID, signature, and thumbprint taken with your left hand.
  • The cost will be 900 or 1,000 Indian rupees. Online payment is required.

After qualifying for the written aptitude test the selected candidates will be called for counseling. Candidates who are allotted a seat have to pay an allotment fee of 2,000 INR along with the admission fee at the time of reporting to the college.

MBA from K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR)

You have fairly good chance of getting admission into the KJ Somaiya MBA program with average academics and a good entrance examination score.

The admission weight components for KJ Somaiya MBA are as follows.

Components  Percentage of Weight
Entrance examination score  35%
Academic record 10%
Personal interview 25%
Case analysis 15%
Work Experience  5%

As you can observe from the above table, entrance score is given 35% weightage. If you perform well in the GD-PI round, there’s a good chance that you will be able to get a shortlist.

Which is better: IIITDM Jabalpur or IIITM Gwalior (in all aspects)?

AG
Ayantika Ghosh Posted On : March 24th, 2021
B.Tech at Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior (2019)

Firstly, there is no doubt that IIITMG has a better reputation, placement record, and facilities as it is nearly 8 years older than IIITDMJ. But this is only one side of the coin and most people don't see the other side of the coin. Let me show you these in broader aspects

Talking about placements, IIITM G may have a better placement record but we also must not forget that we are comparing graduates with undergraduates. We are comparing a student with a dual degree to a student with a single degree and hence this comparison is not fair.

Categories

IIITDM Jabalpur

IIITM Gwalior

Course Fee

5.29 lakh

5.4-6.7 lakh

Placement Percentage

82%

90%

Highest CTC

25 LPA

30 LPA

Average CTC

7.41 LPA

13-14 LPA

Microsoft, Amazon, PayTM, Goldman Sachs, Myntra and Adobe

Coming to the dual degree, you must think twice before enrolling in a dual degree course. 2 cases may are:

  • First case: If you want to earn as soon as you are graduated, but a dual degree doesn't give you this freedom and you are forced to study for an extra 1 year before you start with a job. If you get a whooping package then it's fine otherwise it is just a waste of time.
  • Second Case: You want to go for further studies. In this case, it may seem that a dual degree is a blessing but if you think about it, then you may think that you are limiting your chance of doing a master's from any other and better college. For example, if someone graduated from a 4-year program and did his master's from IIT-B then it's a win-win situation for him.
  • Third Case: If you want to go for an MBA, then you are saving yourself from appearing in CAT and GMAT, but this is the same as above. You are losing your chance to get an MBA degree from IIMs.

I will advise you to have a deep discussion with your parents, go through some articles and then decide which one is good for you.

Has anyone regretted after joining XLRI HRM?

GS
Gaurav Sharma Posted On : May 20th, 2023
studied at Xavier School of Management

I talked to a cousin who was planning his higher studies and he told me that when he started planning his career, he prioritized 2 things. He will pursue what he is good at and will do what he actually likes doing.

After considerable anticipation, he decided to pursue HR and shared his experience so far. To date, he is glad he decided to take up HR and has no regrets whatsoever. In fact, he had temporarily joined a software job which confirmed his lack of interest in that field.

He chose HR over BM despite knowing job opportunities for BM are better than HR. What kept him going was his initial decision of sticking to what he loved.

As his journey commenced, he started creating memories in Jamshedpur, making new friends, having wonderful experiences, and taking part in both co-curricular and extra-curricular stuff. After some nervousness in placements, today he has successfully completed a year in an HR role.

HRM is always going to be more niche than most, and that’s exactly why XLRI, a premier b-school is the best option for HR. The plethora of competitions and scope provided is the envy of the B-school world.

He loved HR in general and XLRI specifically because it taught him that pursuing what you love will make you happy even if the monetary return is not huge.

How hectic is AFMC Pune?

TD
Tezal Dahiya Posted On : September 22nd, 2023

The level of hecticness at AFMC Pune or any medical college actually depends on the kind of crowd you are surrounded with. While most believe that your life becomes peaceful once the first term is over, I negate this opinion because, in reality, you will experience the most hectic life during those initial days. Once again, here, I answer what I have experienced.

A close friend shared his experience of the initial days at AFMC.

  • On the first evening, he along with his batchmates were summoned by the fresher NCO. He informed everyone about the rules and regulations they were required to follow.
  • The first day began with early morning PT before which everyone had shaved off their face and worn the PT uniform. A headcount confirmed the attendance and they were asked to run from U block to Otilia Mascarenhas Sports Ground.
  • They were then required to change and assemble to go to Central Cadets Mess in just 15 minutes. After that, they headed to their lectures.
  • After classes were over, they went back to U block and were called for evening games an hour later. Games were followed by dinner.
  • After dinner, the students assembled for the last task of the day, orientation.
  • After the orientation, their mess warden addressed them and they were finally dismissed.

Overall, the fresher term is the most hectic time at AFMC also because you haven't adjusted to the environment. But slowly the burden is reduced and you start enjoying your college life.

lives in New Delhi

There are mentors available to the students, weekly live conversations with the professors, and question-solving sessions held online that do not conflict with the student's normal working hours, thus it is definitely worthwhile. All tasks are handled effectively by UpGrad. For further information, you may contact UpGrad.

IIT Bombay offers a lot more than just academics, so once you enter IIT B, get ready for a life-changing experience. It's always exciting to explore yourself, but here are a few tips:

  • Manage your priorities and avoid getting lost between sleep, study, and social life.
  • Attending classes, completing assignments, and preparing for exams are crucial to academic success.
  • Seek help from seniors or student mentors if you're ever in doubt.
  • Disciplinary action will be taken if you're caught in possession or under the control of alcohol, drugs, or other dangerous substances.
  • Explore the beautiful campus of IIT Bombay during your first few days, but be mindful of prohibited areas and potential dangers.

What are the jobs available for a NISER passout?

PM
Prateek Mishra Posted On : January 14th, 2022
studied at National Institute of Science Education and Research (2022)

There are many job opportunities available for the students of NISER. Since NISER is an institute under the Department of Atomic Science (DAS), you can get a job at Bhaba Atomic Research Center (BARC), provided you have a decent academic record. If you have a CGPA of around 7.5, you can directly sit for the interview. Although most students completing 5 years of integrated MSc choose to go for a Ph.D. instead of a job.

I got a 1400 rank with a 720 GATE score. What is the probability that I can get admission in NITIE, Mumbai?

SY
Subham Yadav Posted On : March 22nd, 2022
PGDPM from National Institute of Industrial Engineering (2018)

The required GATE cutoff varies each year. NITIE Mumbai GATE cutoff 2021 was 609 for general category students. A GATE score of in the 600-700 band is considered to be safe.

The second step of the selection process is GD-PI. This round depends on your profile and the way you will drive the interview. The institute assigns some weightage to the profile of the students for selection as well. But the percentage isn’t disclosed.
