Here is some information on this subject-
PESU offers good placements for B.Tech CS. But because of a very large batch size, its average package comes down. The top 100 B.Tech CS students of PESU easily grab a package of 10 LPA+.
But IIITB is a better choice. It offers better faculty, peer group, placements, etc. Though PESU has a large campus, a lot of it is under construction.
I would recommend you choose iMtech at IIIT Bangalore, especially if you are not planning for a Masters’ abroad.
I was in the same position as you last year. I too had the same options for my Bachelor and I chose IIT Roorkee due to the following reasons:-
IIM Bangalore is well-known for its management education, especially in entrepreneurship, analytics, and consulting. Its faculty is notable for management research and competence. The institute's well-rounded curriculum emphasizes practical learning, case studies, and industry exposure to prepare students for business. IIT Kanpur's engineering programs and research are demanding. The M.Tech in CSE program teaches essential computer science concepts and developing fields. With a focus on research and innovation, the program balances theoretical and practical elements.
M.Tech students in CSE at IIT Kanpur may expect a difficult and fulfilling academic experience, with the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects, participate in hackathons and coding competitions, and collaborate with instructors and peers from varied backgrounds. The institute's industry network can help you get internships and jobs at top tech companies. IIM Bangalore and IIT Kanpur are well-respected universities that offer a great education in various specialties. Before enrolling, students should examine their career goals and hobbies.
NITW and IIIT Bangalore, both have an advantage in one aspect or the other-
Both the colleges are good for your CS degree. You should choose between them based on your personal preferences.

I will always suggest you give preference to the branch over the college. NIT Jalandhar and NIT Raipur are better colleges for CSE than NIT Patna and NIT Silchar. Another good option is ECE at NIT Allahabad or NIT Calicut as most of the companies let ECE students sit for software engineering roles during placements.
I am strongly against you joining mechanical engineering if you are already getting CSE/IT/ECE at NITs. Ultimately, it’s your preferences that will help choose the best college!
