Which is better among IIIT Bangalore (IMTech) or PES University (B.Tech in CS) in terms of placements and quality of education?

Here is some information on this subject-

PESU offers good placements for B.Tech CS. But because of a very large batch size, its average package comes down. The top 100 B.Tech CS students of PESU easily grab a package of 10 LPA+.

But IIITB is a better choice. It offers better faculty, peer group, placements, etc. Though PESU has a large campus, a lot of it is under construction.

I would recommend you choose iMtech at IIIT Bangalore, especially if you are not planning for a Masters’ abroad.

iMTech IIIT Bangalore is better than a B.Tech CSE from PES.

IIIT Bangalore has an amazing faculty base. The faculty members have completed their Ph.D. from top universities around the world like MIT, Stanford, Perdue, etc.
IIIT Bangalore has a tie-up with MIT. It has industry collaboration with CISCO, Samsung, etc. So, you will get good exposure.
IIIT Bangalore iMTech placements 2021 had an average CTC of INR 45.6 LPA.

Other than geat academics and placement, students of IIIT Bangalore also have a locational advantage. As the college is located in one of the IT ones of Bangalore, it's easy to get projects and internship opportunities.

IIIT Bangalore is better than PES University due to various reasons. One being, NIRF ranking of the institutions. IIIT Bangalore is ranked at 62 while PES University is ranked at 93 among top engineering colleges in India by NIRF 2020 Rankings.
