WCE is an AICTE approved college whereas both COEP and VJTI Mumbai are autonomous government colleges. When compared, VJTI is the oldest engineering college between the three with the other two colleges being relatively newly established. When choosing between the three, students can compare placements, program curriculum, fee structure, and eligibility.

The points mentioned below highlight the same:

Fee structure and eligibility:

The following table highlights the fee structure and eligibility for M. Tech in CSE at all three colleges.

College Fee Structure Eligibility
COEP INR 1.14 lakhs for the first year Graduation with 50% and GATE
VJTI Mumbai INR 81,750 for the first year Graduation with GATE
WCE Sangli INR 96,930 for the first year Graduation with GATE

Curriculum:

COEP Pune:

  • The two-year course has a number of electives, mandatory programs as well as skill-based and interdisciplinary subjects.
  • Students will learn subjects like advanced computer networks, databases, algorithms, and machine learning as well as data mining.

VJTI Mumbai:

  • Some of these subjects include cloud architecture, advanced database management systems, information security among others.

WCE Sangli:

  • The course at WCE also includes professional electives as well as a number of lab sessions and seminars.
  • Advanced computer networks, computational mathematics, modern operating systems, data mining are some of the subjects included in this course.

Placements:

COEP Pune:

  • With an average salary of INR 5.1 LPA, the college has recruiters like Accenture, Deloitte, IBM, Infosys hiring students from the CSE department.
  • About 50% of students from the M. Tech department were placed for the year 2017-2018.

VJTI Mumbai:

  • Students from the CSE department have an average salary of INR 6 LPA and companies like Ambuja Cement, Blue Star, Deloitte, etc. hire students annually.
  • The batch of 2018-2019 had a placement rate of 60%.

WCE Sangli:

  • As of 2018-2019, the M.Tech class had a placement rate of 40.7% with 11 students out of 27 being placed.

Placement wise, VJTI is a safe option as it is a well-known government established college. Fee wise, it is also quite economical.
