XLRI's two-year full-time AICTE-approved Global MBA program is designed to meet the current business needs and demands of global business leaders. GMP program is focused on providing a rigorous academic curriculum, as well as opportunities for students to learn from three leading economies in the world - India, China, and the United States by allowing them to participate in live internships and college events in each of these countries, as well as a full-time summer internship and organize events in their own.
The program is taught by top professors drawn from the top colleges of each of the three countries. The course is also well-supported by the XL Alumni Network, which sees the program as providing tremendous opportunities in today's world. The batch of students in XLRI's Global MBA program sees a good mix of freshers as well as professionals with work experience.
The Global MBA course has been readily accepted by the industry, with all students getting placed after completion of the program. Quoting directly from the latest placement report: “The average salary saw an increase to INR 32.7 lakhs per annum from INR 30.7 lakhs per annum in 2022. This answer is based on the experience of a friend who completed her MBA from MDI Murshidabad. The points of comparison between MDI Gurgaon and MDI Murshidabad are mentioned below
Be it a B School of the MDI family or the IIM family, it’s your efforts that enable you to get successful. Being serious about learning and having the desire to do better helps develop a better business sense which is in dearth these days.
Many of the old and new IIMs do not place as much emphasis on HR jobs or electives as XLRI and TISS. If you took a few HR electives and graduated from an old IIM, you may still be able to secure a decent HR job. However, attending XLRI or TISS would likely be a more practical choice for someone interested in a career in HR. New IIMs, including IIM Ranchi and IIM Indore, which now offer PGP HRM programs, tend to have fewer top general management or consulting roles available and almost no great HR roles.
An MBA in HRM is generally considered most useful from XLRI, TISS, SCMHRD, XIMB, and MDI. If you are considering an MBA in HR from IIM Raipur, Udaipur, Sambalpur, Jammu, Nagpur, Bodh Gaya, Trichy, or Vizag, it may not be the best decision.
MSU Baroda is really good in terms of both education and placement as compared to other Gujarati colleges.

The pedagogy for Java and DBMS is really good. Anyone who attends the lectures finds it easier to grab the concepts.

My brother was a training and placement coordinator at BIT Mesra in the past. He told me that the training and placement cell at BIT Mesra works hard throughout the year to make sure that students are offered top placements from the campus. Despite its remote location, BIT Mesra brings in top IT companies for campus placements. Almost all the top IT companies, barring a few, visit the BIT Mesra campus for placements.
Twitter and LinkedIn started hiring from Indian campuses quite recently, in 2013. Initially, these two hired students from top institutions like IIT Bombay, which boasts of having the best CSE undergraduates in the country. Other than that, most hirings were done through off-campus processes.
At present, however, Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon, and LinkedIn are some of the top brands that visit the BIT Mesra campus for placements. Some other top brands that visit the BIT Mesra campus include- Directi, Walmart Labs, Intuit, Goldman Sachs, Epic System, Flipkart, Uber, Vmware, MAQ software, DE Shaw, Codenation, Samsung, Paypal, NVIDIA, Visa, SAP labs, Sprinklr, among others.
If you are a pre-final year student at BIT Mesra, I would suggest you refine your coding skills to get placed in top IT companies with a good package.

Those under VLSI and VIPES get placed with great packages and there are almost cent percent placements for them. VLSI students are usually offered core jobs in contrast to VIPES which offers both core and non-core jobs. There are a lot of software profiles offered to VIPES students.
Communication also has decent placements but not the same certainty as VLSI. Here companies like Qualcomm come for placements and some even are offered software profilers
