What is the use of an MTech in CSE at IIIT Bangalore when we can get 11 LPA just by switching jobs?

Sayantani Barman Posted On : October 10th, 2023

I completed my M.Tech CSE from IIIT Bangalore some years ago. This makes me eligible to answer your query.

Here are some reasons why this degree is more beneficial for your career than simply switching jobs-

  1. As an M.Tech CSE graduate from IIITB, you’ll be offered much more than 11 LPA. You can expect to get around 15-16 LPA as your starting CTC.
  2. Top companies like Microsoft recruit from the IIITB campus.
  3. Companies like TCS have very low workloads, and the work is mostly brainless. This can make you lazy. An M.Tech course will help exercise your brain.
  4. It’s difficult to switch from service based companies to product-based MNCs. You may end up in a service based company or a product-based startup post-switching.
  5. M.Tech graduates from IIITB are much more likely to get into a product based MNC.
  6. The college tag will open more opportunities for you career-wise.
  7. You can access good off campus opportunities as Bangalore is the ideal place for tech professionals.
  8. At college, you’ll spend your time studying AI/ML, and developing your coding skills.
  9. You may not get to develop these abilities at your workplace. They may give you basic support projects, excel sheet work, etc. Then you’ll have to develop your coding skills post work hours.

Thus, I would recommend you consider an M.Tech CSE from IIITB instead of relying on a job switch.

Here are a few must-have experiences one must not miss while at NIT Trichy

  • In general, you will find here students staying up late at night and waking up tired and missing classes in the process.
  • To make your experience unique, try waking up early in the morning and going for a walk.
  • Exercise and watch the sunrise. Trust me the ethereal feelings you will go through will be a big driving force in setting your sleep schedule right. When half the college sleeps, you will be roaming around in the bliss of Mother Nature. The positive energy and motivation this experience will provide will make your day productive.
  • You can have a refreshing breakfast after the walk and take a nap once you are done!

This experience will boost your energy levels and give you positive vibes.

Will it be a right decision to leave AIIMS Patna for AIIMS Rishikesh or Raipur considering the current scenario?

MS
Malabika Sinha Posted On : December 28th, 2023
MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur

I am a student at AIIMS Raipur, so I will try sharing some advantages of joining my institution.

I wouldn’t recommend AIIMS Rishikesh over Patna or Raipur. The only favorable thing in regard to AIIMS Rishikesh is that it is located in the lap of nature. But over the years, its hype has somewhat died down partially because of constant issues with the administration. Also, the other AIIMS have seen an increase in their PG seats. AIIMS Patna and Raipur have excelled in other areas, and made up for their lack in terms of location.

The main hospital building of AIIMS Raipur was recently completed, and all the major departments have been shifted in the same. The faculty at AIIMS Raipur is as good as any other AIIMS, and academic excellence is given utmost priority. The attendance system is a bit strict, but it is totally up to the AIIMS standards.

The Trauma and Emergency is top notch at AIIMS Rishikesh, but that is of less importance for an MBBS student. The patient load has increased at AIIMS Raipur over the years. The students of AIIMS Raipur can join various cultural, literary and sports clubs. This helps in overall development and extracurricular achievement.

Thus, I would recommend AIIMS Raipur as a good institution for an MBBS, but even AIIMS Patna is a good choice.

Can we get a transcript in an online process from Anna University Chennai to apply for a WES?

DY
Deepak Yadav Posted On : December 3rd, 2022
MBA Technology Management, Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India (2018)

Begin the process by creating an account with your Anna University Register number.

The problems you may encounter -

  • The inability of the Continue button on the Transcripts Selection Page.

Solution: Use the mouse to decrease and increase the number of transcripts. Remove the disabled option from the continue button's tag using the Chrome console.

  • If you try to re-upload something you've already uploaded, you'll get a PHP error.

Solution: Delete the previous document before uploading the new one.

  • Document Upload Page - While uploading, the page becomes frozen with a white screen.

Solution: is to keep the file size under 5 MB.

Enable the "Load Unsafe Scripts" option in Chrome for all pages. Don't give up if it gets stuck; the website will be back up in a few minutes and most of your progress will be preserved.

Due to the fact that the Payment page is a third-party integration, it is fine. Don't be alarmed after making the payment because the thank you page is also broken. To download the receipt, return to the home page.

A general candidate gets a call from IIM Ahmedabad at 99 percentile. How did Vidit Garg get a call at 89 percentile?

RS
Rohini Sharma Posted On : December 7th, 2022
Trying to Bell the CAT

The prestigious IIMs invite students to interviews based on their CAT percentiles. However, the 99 percentile mentioned in the question is for General Candidates (i.e. the perceived influential social class in India). Male and engineer candidates are more likely to meet the 99 percentile.

The competition for General Engineer Male candidates is tough. Because of their academic and co-curricular achievements, the cream of the GEM typically receives the majority of the call letters. As a result, given the limited number of seats in top Business Schools, there is almost nothing left for a typical GEM.

The candidate in question, Vidit Garg, is not a GEM, nor an Engineer, and thus gleefully avoids the arduous competition that a GEM faces. He is also a candidate with professional experience, which gives him an advantage over freshers when it comes to managerial abilities.

To summarise, the only way a GEM can almost guarantee a seat in a prestigious B school is to excel on all fronts.

Does APJ AKTU refund money after a challenge evaluation in semester exams? If yes, then what is the procedure?

KS
Koushani Sarkar, Posted On : October 27th, 2021
Bachelor of Technology from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (2017)

Getting a refund is only possible if your marks are increased by more than 20%. In the new procedure, the university will evaluate your sheets by themselves, probably in front of the student.

You will receive a refund of INR 10,000 which is double the amount you have paid. The amount will be credited to your bank account after the results of the challenge evaluations are announced.

Lastly, filing for the challenge evaluation is a very simple process. You need to fill in the details and make the payments. You can do it online or through your college.

How is biomedical engineering at NIT Rourkela?

SV
Sudeeksha Verma Posted On : August 14th, 2023
B.Tech from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (2020)

Usually, two types of people opt for Biomedical engineering at NIT Rourkela, ones who are interested in the branch and ones who have no other option but want the NIT tag. Personally, I feel Biomedical Engineering is going to be the next big thing given the fact that everything s connected directly or indirectly to medical sciences.

NIT Rourkela is considered to be the best choice for Biomedical Engineering even ahead of all old IITs. Here, the students are given the choice to choose their own lab work on their own project and learn from it.

Here are 3 reasons why you should choose NIT Rourkela Biomedical Engineering:

  • Limited seats are available so only the best students are selected based on AIEEE(earlier)/IIT-JEE(now)-B.Tech; GATE/NET(M.Tech/PhD).
  • Highly experienced professors who have strong ties with the industry. Alliance with DAAD, Erasmus Mundus scholarships, IITs, CSIR Labs, and NITs.
  • This department is the biggest Biomedical/Biotechnology Engineering department in India for Tissue Engineering.

Core job opportunities are limited in this field and most students consider joining Software, IT, Analytics, Teaching, and Community-work based companies. However, the institute owing to its market value provides multiple opportunities in higher education.
