In Manipal Institute of Technology, the first-year syllabus has 2 'cycles' namely Chemistry Cycle and Physics Cycle. The first year of the Engineering syllabus is common so that the entire batch reaches the same level of academics It consists of Basic Engineering courses and English. It is an extended version of the class 12 subjects.
