Tripura M.B.B.S. Entrance Exam 2015
Tripura Medical College, West Tripura invites applications for admission to M.B.B.S. Course for the academic session 2015-2016.
Duration of Course: 4½ (four and half) years plus one year period of Compulsory Residential Rotatory Internship.
Eligibility Criteria for Tripura Medical College MBBS Course 2015:
- Candidate must have passed (10+2) or its equivalent examination with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology / Biotechnology individually with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in all these subjects.
- However, for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes category, they require obtaining 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology taken together in qualifying Examination and it would be applicable also for the candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes for All India Category seat, but not for the Tripura State domicile category.
- The candidates appearing in the 10+2 class or its equivalent qualifying Examination in the year 2015 are also eligible to appear in the Entrance Test.
Age Limit: Candidate age should be 17 years on or before 31 December of the year of the application.
Date of birth is considered as recorded in Pass certificate of 10 standard or equivalent Examination.

How to Apply — Tripura Medical College MBBS Admission 2015?
Interested Applicants can obtain the Information Brochure & Prospectus along with the Application Form attached directly from Principal's office personally /representative on all working days (11.00 am to 04.00 pm) on payment of Rs.3000/-(Rupees three thousand) only by A/c Payee Demand Draft in favour of "The Society for Tripura Medical College & Dr. BRAM Teaching Hospital," Hapania, West Tripura, payable at Agartala through SBI or any other nationalized bank.
Applications form can also be downloaded from the website www.tmc.nic.in
The duly filled up Application & Admit Card Form along with the documents to be enclosed should reach the office of the Principal, Tripura Medical College, Hapania, Agartala by Registered Post/Speed Post/In person by the scheduled date and time.
Note:
Please ensure that the Demand Draft bears the code number of the issuing bank. The candidate must write his/her name clearly on the back of the Demand Draft.
Documents required to be enclosed with the Application form:
Candidates must submit the completed application form with attested photocopies of the following certificates:
- Pass Certificate of the 10th Class Examination as proof of Age
- Mark sheet of the (10+2) or its equivalent examination that have passed in the year 2014 or before.
- Admit Card of the (10+2) or its equivalent examination.
- Permanent Resident Certificate from the Competent Authority (in case of Tripura Domicile)
- Caste certificate for ST / SC from the Competent Authority (if applicable)
- BPL Card copies (if applicable)
- Two passport size recent colour photographs of the applicant in addition to affixation on application form.
Note:
All photographs should be computer printed with name of the candidate and the date of photograph taken only in the month of May, 2015.
The Originals of the above states documents are to be produced at the time of Counselling and Admission.
Tripura Medical College M.B.B.S. Entrance 2015 Exam Pattern:
The Syllabus for the Entrance Test will be from class XI & XII under the 10+2 scheme of the State / Central Education Boards. The medium of question papers will be in English Language only.
The type of questions will be Multiple Choice Questions. Time duration of the exam will be 90 minutes. Each question carries one mark and there is no negative marking.

Tripura Medical College M.B.B.S. Course Selection Method:
Under supervision of the Permanent Committee, Entrance Test will be conducted with the eligible Applicants.
On the basis of the Entrance Test Exam results, two common merit lists (one for Tripura State domiciled Applicants and other for All India other than Tripura domiciled Applicants) shall be prepared for selection of candidates on merit only.
For convenience, each such merit list may be split into separate merit lists for general and reserved category students.
Explanation: The total marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Biotechnology in the Entrance Test shall be the basis for determining rank of applicant in the merit list.
But the candidates must have secure minimum 50% marks for general and 40% for SC/ST & OBC category (only for All India other than Tripura State domiciled category) in the Entrance Test to be qualified of admission.
Their comparative merit shall be determined on the basis of their results in the qualifying exam in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together.
Tie Breaking:
If two or more candidates secured equal total marks in the above subjects in qualifying examination also, their position in merit list shall be determined on the basis of total marks in above subjects other than English.
- In case of equality of marks thereafter also the candidate who obtains higher marks in Biology / Biotechnology shall be selected.
- If in Biology / Biotechnology also more than one candidate obtains same marks, the candidate who obtains higher marks in Chemistry shall get selection.
- Again, equality of marks in Chemistry shall take the method to select the candidate who obtains higher marks in Physics
