Dr. M. Niranjan Babu is the Principal and Founder of Seven Hills College of Pharmacy (SHCP), Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. He has completed M.Pharm and Ph.D. He has a rich experience of more than two decades in academics, research and administration. He is a life member of Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) and has contributed immensely to the development of this field. Having presented numerous research studies in national and international events, his expertise in this field is unmatched.
What is your philosophy of leadership?

I believe in an educational leadership philosophy and having a strong vision. The Institute must adopt a vision that they believe encompasses the best teaching practices. Likewise, laying out incremental steps that show how one can achieve a vision, encourages everyone to meet goals.

The role of a principal is to provide strategic directions in the development of the academic regulation system in pharmacy education. Also, to assess teaching methods, monitor student achievement, and revise policies and procedures. I also administer the budget, and intensely involve myself in hiring and evaluating staff performances.
