What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“My connection to this Nobel sector has been more personal than just professional”

For making my dream of earning through my passion for cooking, I associated with this sector of education. I was handed over the responsibility of handling the Industrial Trainees at my hotel which included right from preparation of their duty roosters to guiding them and training them in various aspects that’s when I have developed an interest in teaching hence after completion of my management trainee program and working for quite some time in the industry I have decided to get into the field of Hospitality Education by Joining IIHMCA as a Faculty in Food Production.

What is it that differentiates IIHM & CA from the rest of the hotel management colleges?

“Carrying the legacy of the institute with enriching participation and practical learning”

IIHMCA is a 20-Year-Old Institute based in Hyderabad which is one of the premier colleges in India Offering a specialization degree in the kitchen department known as BCT&CA, apart from that we have various cultural programs and National level Competitions in which we participate, we have one of the best facilities infrastructure wise such as Cruise galley Kitchen, Garden Manger, Ala Carte Style Kitchen, Advanced Pastry, Chocolate room, etc and here we don’t just provide jobs to the students we provide them with a fulfilling career.

How different is the culinary arts program from the rest of the programs?

“Promoting a new arena of knowledge in the field of Hotel management to expand its significance”

The Culinary Program is known as BCT&CA (Bachelors in Catering Technology & Culinary Arts) is a very rare course and there are very few colleges that offer it. This program is designed in a way that it mainly focuses on food production and is a program for those who want to be culinary leaders in the future, definitely students who have enrolled in this course would have an upper hand in the culinary department over those who choose for the generic Hotel Management Programs.

Concerning the placements, how far has IIHM&CA been able to reach its goals and spread them across the country?

“Collaborations with top-notch hotels and hospitality organizations for placements and training”

We have our training and placement cell, which focuses on providing fulfilling careers to the students, we have been placing our students in various national and international hospitality firms through Campus Placements such as Taj Group of Hotels, Oberoi Group of Hotels, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Marriott International, ITC group, Hyatt group. etc apart from hotels we also place students in various cruise lines like Norwegian Cruises, Costa Cruises, P&O Cruises, MSC Cruiselines. ect

How does the training procedure at IIHM&CA ensure that the student turns into a professional?

“Preparing them for being industry-ready and a guide on teamwork”

Here we train students and mend them in such a way that they are capable of surviving in any industry not only hospitality but also corporate such as facilities planning, Inventory Management, Sales and Marketing .etc.

Any message you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Passion creates the best career to direct individual towards success”

  1. The only message id like to give is” always do what to love and want to do, Be happy and follow your passion, whatever it may be not only in hotel management but also in other professions if we are not happy at what we do we cant derive any satisfaction out of it which can not only disrupt professional life but also personal life
  2. Secondly don’t run behind money or work for money primarily as Money is only the result or byproduct of your work.
