At Agrasen College, we provide wide options in the subjects such as Political Science, History, Hindi Literature., English Literature, Economics, Geography, Sociology and Public Administration.

Being a Faculty/ HOD of the Arts Department, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

Being a faculty of Arts I deliver lectures to B.A. students enrolled from the first to third year in Political Science. I am also the sports in-charge in the college and look after all the sports-related events and competitions.

Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real-world challenges?

Many extracurricular activities are organized in the college from time to time like Fresher’s Parties, Cultural Events, Children's Day celebration, Blood Donation Camps, Anandam activities, Sports tournaments and many extracurricular events. It helps students to nurture their talent as well as to groom their personality. We also organize many events promoting social values and national integrity like Constitution Day, Plantation Drives, etc.

When you came to college, what was your vision and how are you trying to achieve the same?

We try to make our students to be full of moral values. For this, we organize many events. We have computer classes and Quantitative Aptitude Classes at our college to enable our students to fight for competitive examinations

How does the department/ college enhance the faculty’s skills and prepare them according to industry-specific standards?

We are trying to establish a training and placement cell at our college to make our students ready for a promising career in both government as well as private sectors. Free training sessions are also organized for faculty as well as students. Many workshops are also organized to achieve this goal.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty? 

To establish healthy relations with students, we conduct several mentoring sessions on a regular basis. Students come with their suggestions, problems and queries etc. and the faculty guide them in the best possible ways.

What valuable advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead?

I would advise the students to attend their lectures regularly and to participate in all extracurricular activities at college. This will help to groom their personality in a holistic fashion.
