What factors, benefits, and career options make this program the best for the students to opt for, what are the best practices that you offer in this course to make students ready for the future?

B.Sc. is a very popular and career oriented course. One can appear for SSC, Bank PO , Laboratory assistant and many other govt. jobs. On the other hand, a B.Sc. candidate can pursue M.Sc., MCA, MBA and many higher education courses and go for many other attractive career options.

Being a Faculty/ HOD of the Botany Department, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

Being a faculty of Botany I deliver lectures of B.Sc. from first to third year in Botany , take my labs and make students ready for their university exams as well as I am the event coordinator in Agrasen College. Making students ready for cultural, co curricular events is my duty. I enjoy doing it. I also feel that it will fill students with confidence and help them in their all round development. 

Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real-world challenges?

Many extracurricular activities are organized in the college from time to time like Freshers Party, Cultural Events, Children Day celebration, Blood Donation Camp, Anandam activities, Sports tournament and many extracurricular events. It helps students to nurture their talent as well as to groom their personality etc.

When you came to college, what was your vision and how are you trying to achieve the same?

My prime objective is to make my students capable of excelling in their studies as well as their life also. I as well as other faculty of the Biology Department always give their best and work hard with all the students . They perform their practical in labs with full concentration to understand the basic concepts of Botany and Zoology. 

How does the department/ college enhance the faculty’s skills and prepare them according to the industry standards?

Faculty of the Biology department work hard , attend refresher courses regularly to enhance their skills and update their knowledge. Many research papers have been published recently by me in various national and international research journals.

What valuable advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead?

I would like to say to students that they should work hard and stay focused on their goals. There are many career opportunities in today’s era so they should consistently work hard and they will achieve success in their career.
