Dr Deepali Joshi is the Faculty member in Department of Agriculture at Shivalik Institute of Professional Studies, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. She has completed her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and M.Sc (Plant Biochemistry). She has almost two decades of teaching experience in prestigious institutes. Her areas of interest are Molecular Biology and Genetics, Immunology, Organic Chemistry and Biomolecules, Enzymology, Cell Biology, Plant Biochemistry and Computer Fundamentals. She has expertise in techniques of Enzyme Kinetics and Purification, Microscopy, Tissue Culture, etc.

What are your roles and responsibilities towards students of this Institute?

“Facilitating an environment of positive and progressive learning”

My aim is to provide quality and relevant education to the maximum number of learners. Also, developing academic methodology to educate students about the topic. This includes problem solving, small group discussions, etc. Other roles include:

  • Completing the syllabus within the stipulated time. 
  • Take meetings with class representatives for the course to obtain feedback 
  • Provide information about job opportunities in their respective field to the placement cell. 
  • Guide students on career opportunities.
