What are your roles and responsibilities?

In my opinion, I do have a lot of responsibility in all aspects be it related to inculcating the latest research and best practices in the classroom sessions, individual content expertise, or creating enthusiasm in students to learn, motivate them, etc. From a moral point of view, I am responsible for developing the moral character of the students and development of social-efficiency or good citizenship in the child from a sociological point of view. 


Which key factors keep you connected with the education sector?

“Inspiration to influence students’ life by educating them”

Yes, I have been in this educational sector for more than 15 years and was in the industry for around six years. I enjoy every bit of software development, teaching and research with the students. Moreover, it’s very inspiring to be involved in the learning, growing process of the student and to make them equipped to be successful in future. 


What is your philosophy of leadership? 

“I ensure growth of others whosoever work with me”

The following point describes my philosophy of leadership- 

  • Taking timely decisions by being proficient in teaching, research and projects and upgrading yourself as well as others.

We have adopted a totally different approach to teach students. We organize year-round competitions such as Debates, Group Discussions, PowerPoint Presentations, Essay writing, etc. to help them to enhance and improve their confidence, reading, writing and Communication Skills. How does the curriculum of your institute align with the best practices of industry?

The program covers the various essential concepts in Computer Science. It also conducts educational trips to different Institutions, Universities, Industries like IITG, IIE, Guwahati University, Data Centre of Amtron, IT Park, etc. Dignitaries from reputed IT organizations and Professors of University levels are being invited to give knowledgeable sessions and hands-on training to the students. The curriculum also includes free certificate courses based on the latest computer technology as add-ons.

I joined the institute in the year 2009 and had a vision that it should have full academic as well as administrative advancements so that the Institute can grow at a different pace. The curriculum is upgraded with the latest technology. Good quality of research publications is being published by the teachers who are indulged in self upgradation with recent developments and are knowledgeable, committed and efficient. 


What are some of the biggest challenges for your institute?

“Updating ourselves with the changing needs of this competitive world”

Educators need to be flexible in adapting the learning goals of a course to the practical needs of students. Likewise, students may need to be flexible in choosing correct courses / subjects that will provide meaningful learning experiences for students. Open and supportive communication, mutual understanding, and trust are invaluable in this process.

How do you establish a healthy relationship with students?

“By providing effective communicative environment to them”

I ensure a healthy relationship with students by recognizing, identifying, and fostering the unique capabilities of each student. The students are free to interact with me, be it personal issues or educational issues. There is a mentorship in which each batch is mapped with a teacher who in turn nurtures the students and helps them in rectifying their academic as well as personal issues.
